Ok i might have been so wrong about the abrupt ending: it could be secretly genius. It makes me want to replay the song constantly, like a very long wailing song on loop, where the beginning picks up when the ending happens. its honestly been ages (ok, maybe since COCC or NFR ) that I played her new single on loop. The BB triple release were excellent but so damn heavy: I never played them more than 3 times each top while WCE has been on loop since this morning. It’s highly addictive

Second thoughts after many listens already… this song is a crossover between Paradise and Chemtrails to me (Black Beauty is more a Paradise song than a UV IMo). It’s really beautiful. Maybe it doesn’t need more buildup after all than it already « has » (love and curse « insiders », that either have another version of the song or just made things up, that always bring my expectations at a 10-level). The abrupt end though… just a few more instrumental bars would have been perfect. I love how her voice is so angelic and hypnotic, how the emotion feels raw, and that there isn’t any « instrumental break » in the song. that being said… I think we all want bigger production for her next endeavours/projects. Buddy’s Rendezvous seems to go into that direction, and I sure hope LDR9 is also. I don’t mind if there are atmospheric ballads like this one or Bb’s on the next album, but please, more prod-heavy tracks for the next album, miss Lana.

BTD is superb. NFR fits thematically, but seems a bit too much « winter beach » to my taste (it’s bitch-ass cold out here these days here, in Canada, and a winter beach is not what I love the most at the moment lol) Paradise is abstract, but matches the colour palette of the OG cover?!? It’s the one I like the least.

I don’t think I need to put the spoiler part since everybody pretty much heard it… i just listened to it once. I really love the lyrics, I really love the guitar in the beginning of the song, the melody is beautiful and I love how her voice is almost tearing up. but, production wise, it stays a bit one-note? I understand that choice supposedly makes more sense in the context of the scene… but it could have had just a bit more instruments in the end. the song reminds me a lot of Black Beauty with its simple chorus and well, that song does build up a bit more than WCE. That being said, it’s a beautiful track.

I don’t have a screenshot, but: - LYTAN has the RCS line and was considered to be on Chemtrails then BB; - he also said that LYTAN is not WCE even though they share a similar line. BoZ (maybe someone else reliable also…) LYTAN is the song she was supposed to include on BB and be the « title track » because it had that line. He also said that WCE is new. my guess why BoZ has heard LYTAN: that song was supposed to be on Chemtrails. All the songs from COCC were « leaked » while sent to production, to a few guys, including Dealer. I wouldn’t be surprised if LYTAN was part of the lot.

It could mean both, actually. The line « les cinemas de … » (where the show’s references are noted) tends to make me think that the plural is for form and style only and that there’s only one song; but it could possibly mean that there’s more than one. But it’s simply a review of the show: could also mean that they mistook another song for a Lana one.

It really depends. visually stunning, the soundtrack is always spot on, I really liked Ru and Jules… but the harsh realities the show depicts was a real downer for me. Everything is on steroids in Euphoria. I watched up to the seventh episode of season 1 and felt so depressed and sad afterwards (which doesn’t happen a lot, but there is just so much abuse of all kinds depicted that it gets to you). It’s really just my opinion though and everyone has the right to love this show or not

Ok after 10 listens of the snippet (lol), here’s what it reminds of: - the beginning sounds like the beginning of Cherry, with the sultry and mysterious atmosphere of Yayo; - the WCE line reminds me of her vocals in White Dress a bit, but the repetition of the line reminds of Black Beauty.
