  1. I was just about to post it The list has the merit of going through all of her discography. I agree with the NFR tracks there. Kintsugi and the Grants making the list is very surprising to me, Let The Light In also.
  2. I grew tired of Vampire very fast… The new song is not bad (except for the end) but don’t see myself going back to it a lot. I guess I’m too old to connect with it

Im honestly fine with « only 5 vault tracks ». I prefer 5 solid tracks to, say 12 that aren’t equally good. Truth be told, I am not a die-hard Swiftie like many of you here are ( I really like her though, dont get me wrong, she is incredibly talented and works tirelessly) but most of her albums are, to me, a bit bloated : even Red, which is my fave album from her and my fave TV, didn’t necessarily need all of those tracks. But it’s simply the « casual Swiftie » in me speaking, I guess

Yes!!!! I just woke up to this Love the new cover, but not a super big fan of the CD variants…
  5. OMG This is another Buddy’s RV / Let The Light In situation with her Jon collabs
  6. Really loved her cover of Stand By Your Man
  7. Woah you’re right!!!! Didn’t realize it would be out in like 10 days
  8. It’s a sound I wish Lana would dive more into at some point. But if Dua does it good, it might get it « out of my system » and will be able to enjoy whatever Lana throws at us next
  9. Candy Necklace did the opposite for me: upon release, I was like “ok it’s cute, but we overhyped it a lot, for a piano ballad”… but it is now in my top 5 most listened tracks from OB: I love the “obsessed Lana” and she delivers so much Old Hollywood starlet vibes in it, plus the dark and subtle undertones, with its finale that sounds like an incantation With the interlude that is a bit all over the place and yet, so harmonious and jazzy
  10. They’re amongst her most iconic MV. Love them both very much, especially National Anthem. I love when she does iconic MV, but one or two per era is “enough” for me.
  11. At this point, Grammy noms are really not that important and like all major award ceremonies, it is a question of politics and campaigning. The only Grammy that would matter would be lifetime achievement award, somewhere down the line, in a decade or more. That being said, A&W has been a critic sweetheart since day one and it has a chance of a nom for SOTY (won’t win, but a nomination, for her, is a win at this point). Candy Necklace has very littleJon Batiste and I don’t know how it could fit into Best Duo / collab nom. Unless her new collab for his album is more “equal”… Snow on the Beach could have a chance, especially since it’s a Taylor and Jack track and they redid it to feature Lana even more.
  12. That would be a dream but I fear that her rumoured situationship with him, back in the LFL days, kinda made it impossible
  13. Could be but I wish it wasn’t…
  14. I really like BB (song and album), especially in the fall or at the end of summer, when I am having a peaceful mindset or when I cook. It’s not a perfect album (there is, iMO, one song too many relying solely on piano) but many songs on it are simply gorgeous.
  15. That damn Bittersweet Anthem… if only we knew what it’s about. I guess it’s another “white whale” for the LB lore
  16. That’s my feeling too. Plus she seems to have a very friendship kinda of relationship with Jack, which might not be the case with Rick (mostly work relationship, I think).
  17. I mean and it is the 49th most streamed album (male-female-group singer altogether) of all-time on Spotify , surpassing Eminem.
  18. I think the backstory of BB is even messier than what you described, TBH. Not that it’s a bad album at all but it’s true that it’s not super cohesive. lustforlife mentioned that this album happened by accident : she was working on her cover album and she got inspired to record new songs… which turned into many new songs, thus tossing aside the covers. At that point, she seems to have wanted to « tell her story » through these new tunes and unreleased from passed eras (the RCS post she did on CoCC’s release day or the next). BoZ also stated that the track list changed a lot during its creation and the more she recorded, the more unreleased songs got pushed aside, leaving only some on BB. The other factor we cant rule out but that I don’t know where to put in BB’s timeline is Barrie asking her to put Riverside on his album and she asked permission for four songs they did together to be put on BB and the cover album… Anyways, I’m glad OB got a bigger sound and I sure hope LDR10 will follow that, with some experimentation / alternative sounds
  19. Probably unpopular, but I don’t want a visual album: MV aren’t as huge as they used to be for any artist (even artists who were doing many with each era are now significantly downsizing their number and scope) and labels pretty much don’t know what to do with them, in their promo campaigns. In our constant need of something new, an artist’s era can’t drag on for two years like it used to and having lots of MVs for an era would only do that. From a Lana POV, let’s all remember how long it took for Tropico to be made For a visual album to have impact, it needs to be bold and released when the album is out. Plus with her latest comment on IG, I doubt Interscope will allow her to have lots of costly mvs for the next eras (which is a shame because she served us some of her best mvs in the last two years).
  20. That was agressive from her
  21. I loved her cohesive albums but can’t complain about more « messy » ones either. But I’m not sure she’ll go into the « super cohesive » direction, based on an interview she gave this year (where she said she wasn’t oriented on « world-building » and more on putting together on an album songs she likes). besides, I relistened to lot of her unreleased lately and she often leaves on the cutting room floor her most « pop » songs, which is a shame.
  22. Lana just entered the billionaire club for a single song on Spotify with Summertime Sadness Young and Beautiful isn’t far behind I think.
