  1. I still believe that some of this pushback is beyond Lana's control. I genuinely think that the album was gonna be released March 29th but was delayed either to push Billie's record or so that she could make adjustments. It doesn't make sense that in January we were told the album was completely finished and mastered, then we got a buzz single suggesting that the album was closer than expected. Suddenly Lana goes silent and Ben confirms that there's no release date now (despite all publications saying March 29th) and she's still recording. Now, imagine being Lana. If she's having difficulty releasing this album the way she wanted to or is having conflict with her label over the sound etc. Then there's fans spamming her and her families social media as if she's deliberately just holding back the album for no reason. She stated in her last interview that once an album is finished she wants to just drop it and move on to the next one. I believe this is why she's being silent because perhaps she doesn't have the answers? She might not know when the album is coming or when the next single is being pushed etc. Maybe that's why she's posting poems and trying to give us something. And before people say "she should just be honest", as much as I miss the communication with her, we all know if she said the label had delayed her album that her management etc would get spammed - possibly causing more difficulty in the long run. Anyways, I think we should trust her and have faith.
  2. Ugh, is this really happening? Like for real, we all want the album and we're all fed up of waiting but this along with the comments on Chucks insta is too much. I wouldn't even be surprised if she scrapped the album or deleted social media if this shit continues. Then y'all will be wishing you'd just waited like the rest of us have had to. Lust For Life isn't even 2 years old, go stream that if you're bored.
  3. I think it's so sad that she still hasn't found happiness... Like we're 8 years into her career, not counting the unreleased albums prior to fame and they all share that same desire to be loved or be in love and be truly happy. I don't really know what I'm getting at but I just feel bad for her, like.
  4. Yes and then she'll announce her retirement and constantly tease a potential album for 10 years on insta. I wouldn't even be mad.

    Charli XCX

I have just listened to XCX World for the first time in months and it's still such a good album, however the fact we got N1A and Pop 2 instead makes me even more excited for the new XCX3. She should still drop XCX World as a mixtape on SoundCloud or summit.
  6. 01. Mariners Apartment Complex 02. Cinnamon 03. Norman Fucking Rockwell 04. 05. Bartender 06. 07. Venice Bitch 08. 09. Happiness Is A Butterfly 10. In Your Car 11. 12. Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have - But I Have It 13. How To Disappear
  7. THERE IS NO REASON TO HOLD BACK THIS ALBUM ANY LONGER! ALL 3 SONGS HAVE HAD ACCLAIM AND REALLY POSITIVE REVIEWS SHE'S NOT LOOKING FOR A HIT SINGLE THE ALBUM IS FINISHED NOBODY ELSE KNOWS IT EXISTS LANA IS REFUSING TO DO PROMO DROP THE FUCKING ALBUM ALREADY AND MOVE ON!
  8. To me personally, I think LFL always felt fake, I understand it was a step away from the LDR persona but it didn't feel genuine either. Like the album began with songs like 13 Beaches and BAR etc. So it doesn't seem like she intended to make a "happy" album in the beginning. I just think her posting that image "Lost For Life", the last minute inclusion of Change and then removing Yosemite cos it was too happy proved that she wasn't in the place that she thought or was being told to be in. I remember her talking about the artwork and she said something like "we knew I'd be smiling on the album cover before we shot it" and that's strange - like did her label or management try and force this happiness thing as a marketing plan. Like, even the features and the single choices, none of it felt like Lana. Perhaps that's why the NFR era is the way it is, was she unhappy with the last era? Did she have no control? Is this a rebellion, refusing to promote etc. I mean like no offence, but it's Lana, we know she's forgotten about that song.
  9. I mean it's her greatest record to date imo. The people who hate it I've noticed tend to ask for a BTD 2.0 every era or stan LFL or both, so...
  10. She sang a small part of it (improvised) when she went to the Childrens hospital... She titled it Starry Eyed and promised that she'd finish the song and release it for them. I mean it's Lana so her promising dying kids a song is probably as likely as us getting the Cherry video.

    Charli XCX

She has began every era with this statement. This has me so excited... Like from 1999 she only had 2 options, continue with the "pop" pop songs or rebrand and go more left field and I'm hoping (also judging by collabs) it's the latter. Like she has made her mark on the PC music world and has made connections that could further that sound if she chooses. However we all know she gets bored and we all know she's a Miley Cyrus in terms of "this is new album is the most me etc.".

I think N1A shows Charli's potential as a more adult artist, it's her most mature and I'd argue cohesive release to date. I wouldn't be mad for her to explore that vibe again. I think for the next record we need more of a mood, she could really benefit from a reinvention at this stage... So far all of her reinventions have paid off, so I'm down for another. What I do believe though is that we need less bubblegum/cheesy/throwback pop songs, I know she loves Aqua, Vengaboys, Britney, Spice Girls etc. But we know that and it's there in her music, I just hope the new project doesn't have anymore 1999's or GNO's. Of course this album is gonna be more mainstream than Pop 2 or Vroom Vroom, but with N1A she proved she can be authentic, cohesive and stay on trend. Either way I'm excited.
  13. I agree to an extent, in terms of interviews, music videos, photoshoots etc. However the music we got that era was her weakest cos she was trying to appeal to the GP.
  14. But it always felt like the changes were her choice if you know what I mean... Her arranging to meet Dan and then re-recording the whole album after doing a couple of songs. Releasing West Coast as the lead single even though it's too slow for radio. Changing the director of the Ultraviolence music video cos she wasn't happy. Releasing Honeymoon only a year after UV with minimum promotion. High By The Beach being the lead single - again difficult for radio with references to drugs. Best American Record being planned as a 6minute single. Calling the new album Norman Fucking Rockwell Wanting to drop Venice Bitch (10 minute song) as a lead single. The LFL era felt more controlled, LFL being the second single, the merch, Summer Bummer being a single. It all felt very forced. Even the whole happiness, smiling on the album cover etc. And now I'm worried that this is happening with NFR... First interfering with her artistic vision (the album cover, we don't know what it was... she said it was lazy but doesn't mean it wasn't good) and now potentially making her record new music or having the record reworked.
  15. Ugh, I miss 2012-2015 Lana where she just did what she wanted. They probably didn't like UV or HM but they're her greatest yet... I bet they liked LFL though.
  16. This bitch better not drop Happiness Is A Butterfly as the lead with THAT homemade video sometime in June with the album coming in summer. Also, does this mean she's doing a LFL? Ben saying she's finishing the music?

    Charli XCX

XCX 3 wantlist: less 1999's and GNO's more midtempo and moody production (maybe like Forever Neverland?) cohesive like N1A less autotune hopefully not too many collaborations a killer photoshoot
  18. 100%! Like not scrap book style but I'd like the images to by styled and laid out like Calvin Harris' funk wav bounces single covers... And I wouldn't mind some handwritten font for a change... But I really don't want glamour shots of her, I'd take a few shots like the MAC cover and then the rest like studio photos or her and Jack in the suits etc.
  19. I don't think we'll get a big music video at all... We know there's some project she's shot with Chuck for the album and that's about it. I really like the whole candid random shots of America... mixed with some natural and stripped back photos of Lana is an aesthetic I'd enjoy. I'm seeing browns and oranges. I'd love the vinyl to be like a burnt orange or really pale pink (or both).

1999 better not be on this goddamn album.
  21. 19.02.19 “Me and Jack are excited to present to you NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL” - Lana and Jack in suits photo “first jam coming at Midnight, it’s called Mariners Apartment Complex.” - MAC single cover 20.02.19 “Mariners Apartment Complex out now, Chucks on visuals” - random candid 22.02.19 “NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL, album trailer shot by Chuck” - VB music video clip “new song out now, Venice Bitch, this one is Jack’s favorite” - VB single cover 27.02.19 “here’s the album cover, hope you love it as much as I do” - NFR album cover “Cinnamon” - first teaser of Cinnamon 01.03.19 “my new album is coming March 29th, pre-order now.” - another candid or selfie “a poem I wrote” - Happy poem “I wrote a poetry book, violets bent over the grass backwards, coming soon.” - polaroid of violets 13.03.19 “Hope Is A Dangerous Thing… new song out at midnight.” - Hope single cover 20.03.19 “here’s another poem from the book, hope you love it” - another poem 27.03.19 “another one coming for ya tonight, it’s called Happiness Is A Butterfly” - HIAB single cover “Happiness video out now, shot by Chuck.” - teaser of music video 29.03.19 “NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL OUT NOW” - photo of Lana holding the vinyl For me, this is how the era should've went... Better if we didn't know the album title and the poetry book was a surprise. I liked when she posted one of Norman's paintings at Christmas (like a clue) and maybe she would wish him happy birthday etc. Same as Sylvia, just clues. Then launch the era all at once. Basically each quote would be a tweet or Instagram post by Lana, and this would be the NFR era starting today.
  22. But she legit says "you thought I was rich and I am"... she knows she's privileged and has money. But she's not rich in other ways, like love and happiness etc.
  23. Imagine if she had've kept that photo of her and Jack in the suits and posted it now on insta "me and Jack are excited to present to you Norman Fucking Rockwell"... Ultraviolence style. Then released MAC as the lead single at midnight with the visual... Then used the music video footage to and release an album trailer on Friday alongside Venice Bitch as the second single. Next week she could've released the album cover and pre-order with Hope being released as a buzz single later this month or next. Album out in March or April with the poetry book. She could alternate weekly between a buzz single and a poem as teasers.
  24. If she's still being an insta baddie then we can expect a 3rd post? It's better than 80% of LFL
