I'm still very excited for this record. MAC and VB are great. Cinnamon is gonna be a peak and I think NFR will be a standout.

I think this is what has happened. She always used to be so nervous and a little awkward on stage, relying on her Lana Del Rey persona at times. I think she's finally reached a point where she is comfortable and confident, she seems to enjoy performing the older songs and she clearly likes having the dancers around too - again maybe a confidence thing? I don't think she's intentionally not trying but do I do think she has slipped into a little comfort zone which makes her appear lazy. I agree the setlist is always a little Born To Die heavy, but what do we expect? She's trying to appeal to the GP at festivals and they want to the play the hits I guess. Plus a lot of fans always say how Born To Die is her best album and has the bops so if she's putting together a setlist she might be under the impression that this is what everybody wants.

This has me lowkey excited. If Norman Fucking Rockwell is her Ultraviolence 2.0 (a little more rock influenced and clearly the label aren't keen on this one either) does that mean we can expect LDR7 next summer, kinda like a Honeymoon 2.0? It's likely that Norman Fucking Rockwell was finished in December / January when she did the livestream. So if it's not being released til summer she'll already be writing again, she had Music To Watch Boys To complete the week Ultraviolence was released. She works fast, I feel like this record was completed in quite a short amount of time - minus Happiness Is A Butterfly.

Some of y'all are being a little dramatic. Lana is fine, she's enjoying life, she's happy in herself. I do believe and have said previously that I think the lackluster era is down to her label rather than Lana herself. There's clearly a low budget for this album compared to the Lust For Life era. Repurposing the Happiness music video for 2 other songs and now using the leftover set from LA To The Moon Tour for her live performances. They weren't keen on the single choices to begin with and I wouldn't be surprised if Ben said the album wasn't done cos she wanted her to add more commercial or pop sounding songs. He is also the one that criticised the original album cover (but that could be a blessing). I don't think a surprise release is coming, I just think Lana wanted to update us in her own way and used the Miss Daytona account to be honest. It's likely she doesn't know when the album is coming - at least we know it's done. Let's just let her enjoy herself with her friends and get the poetry book finished and hopefully Interscope will get their shit together. Deep down I hope that the label are gonna push some money into this era... Maybe reshoot the Happiness video and push it as a lead single closer to the time? We can only wait and see.

I know it's been said here before but Lana is a misfit, she always has been. Like she's always wanted to be a part of something, a group or a clique it seems. But she was always the outsider and I feel like for a while she owned it... but it probably is one of the factors to her depression. I'm happy that she has friends and I do hope they are genuine. But I agree that she looks out of place and as if they're all in on this thing and Lana is the joke.

I personally think it would be nice to have BIOYL solo as the single with music video... then maybe drop the remix with Stefflon Don to give the song another boost (maybe even do a Spotify vertical vid with Stefflon).

Ugh imagine a double A-side of "Cinnamon" and "NFR" in April with like a 15 minute short movie / music video. Then she drops the burnt orange vinyl, deluxe boxset with salmon pink LP and lithographs, signed CD and poetry book pre-order. Followed by a couple of weekly poem teasers and "Happiness Is A Butterfly" 2 weeks later with the footage Chuck shot and then the album dropping in May.

Ah fair and I hope she keeps putting more into them, I think they could be success. I never got that from the first batch of VV artists. Is this true? I'm so confused... like why did we wait so long for this to be the next single? Like it was ready to drop last summer? I was expecting a brand new song, surely she isn't gonna re-launch this new era with an old song.

I actually really like the Nasty Cherry single... However I'm kinda pissed at Charli clickbaiting us saying it's TR2.0 etc. This is very Sucker, and I like Sucker so I wish she'd be honest. Kinda feels like she doesn't respect TR as a body of work and instead uses it as a way to get attention.

Yeah, like it wouldn't make sense... I know she's supported them and they're friends but they're suggesting they have new music with Charli coming. If SOPHIE posted an insta story saying "new music next week @charlixcx" it would be an assumption that a collab was coming?

I really don't want to argue... but I am slightly confused, this isn't directed at you personally by the way, but hasn't she always done this? Like she teased MTWBT in 2014, announced Honeymoon in early 2015, released the title track a few months before the era began. Love leaked, BAR had already been teased, she talked about Yosemite, she wouldn't give us a release date for months, the album cover was released weeks in advance etc. Like I know cos of MAC and VB this era feels so much longer but I don't see why people are so surprised and are expecting concrete info when we haven't really had that for a long time.

But Ben legit said when we have a release date you'll know, so now we know, it doesn't matter that it came from him instead of Lana... I just don't understand why people want the album cover and tracklist potentially months before the album? Like people have already complained about her sharing poems before the book is out, or releasing the first few songs too early. We know the album is coming April at earliest... and I imagine it will be out before the summer when she does festivals and I agree a release date would be nice but there mustn't be one yet. And like you said her information has changed since she said it but that happened last era and everybody complained... Like where is the BAR video? Where's Yosemite? The album was gonna be 18 tracks. etc. Maybe that's why she's being vague this time, to avoid what happened with LFL.

If the album really is coming this year then I imagine we'll either get a single in summer and they'll promote it with the album following in autumn. Or they'll drop a single and then album quite soon after later in the year.

I get that this era isn't like the others but we haven't been starved of information like people seem to make out... Here's a few answers to your queries (most you probably already know) -Tracklist - confirmed songs: Cinnamon, Happiness Is A Butterfly, Hope Is A Dangerous Thing, How To Disappear, Mariners Apartment Complex, Norman Fucking Rockwell and Venice Bitch. -Album cover - most likely shot by Chuck, one already exists and another was going to be reshot in January. -Album release date - originally early this year and now likely to be sometime between April and June. -Interviews - we've had a couple (very few) and likely to be only a few more closer to release, she doesn't want to promote the album like the last one. -Photoshoot(s) with even Chuck or something simple with Neil - she did a promo shoot with Chuck, confirmed she won't be working with Neil this time around. -Book title - Violets Bent Backwards Over The Grass -Book cover - likely to be very basic or potentially designed by Lana since she's teased paintings. -Size of album or book - album when finished was 13 tracks, potentially more now that Ben has confirmed she's still recording.
