So sad - I just watched a little clip of her at the Grammys and she says "I love Ariana" and going on to say the effect of she was looking forward to hanging out with her. It's so crazy still reading headlines where people misconstrued the namedrops as an attack on the artists she mentioned. And how are Ariana's fans to know how much Lana admires her? (Despite their collab). She must feel very betrayed at the lack of support from someone she considered a friend. Just a sad thought . . .

On Honeymoun's latest post they comment: I have to laff a little because Lana only followed the account so she could directly message and say 'stop sending Joe rat emojis'. Why she left it that long to unfollow an account that expects clout and (occasionally) leaks her unreleased material is beyond me. I said this elsewhere, but this situation reminds me of a time when I was directing a scene with four guys and a girl. The girl was struggling with her routine, so I said to her "Don't worry about it, maybe ask the boys how they do it". The backlash I got from that was crazy because I said "ask the boys" and a bunch of people told me it was offensive to bring gender into it. I was upset people had made it about gender when literally everyone else in the scene was a boy and that was all I was referring to. But it was a really important lesson on positionally and highlighted the importance of speaking neutrally, and being able to understand how other people interpret words. And it obviously helped me move forward and not make the same mistake again. That she has failed to acknowledge what others COULD have perceived the meaning as (regardless of how farfetched she thinks their views are), claiming everyone who disagrees is a Trump supporter is . . . yikes.

She had a point and articulated it badly/inappropriately considering the medium. This kind of discussion belongs in Billboard and Pitchfork. What a fucking weird way to announce your next album? I think the artists she picked are just artists she likes (for example, she has talked about how much she loves Ariana in depth). To me it doesn't read as a drag at all, but unfortunately with a different positionally and not comprehending the post (or bothering to read at all) it comes across as really capricious. ALSO, due to the weird editing, it makes it sound like she is dragging all the artists she mentioned - when in reality, she is calling out people like Azaelia Banks, Lorde and Kim Gordon. But, I LOVE when people can't properly read and feel like she is being controversial, since that means more Lana in the headlines. Also, wouldn't it be really fucking funny if she has them featured on her album?
