  1. I did it - I'm here, I'm queer, I'm loading this game up as I type this.
  2. It's interesting to see the difference between the two - the demos Florence releases, like Landscape and Which Witch, show a level of musicianship where she hasn't fully formed the ideas but still wants to release them like she is giving an insight into her song writing practise. Same when she releases additional ones on deluxe editions and singles, they show how an idea began or where it evolved too even though it's not the most polished product. Regardless, it makes her fans very happy. We know Lana is super picky and indecisive when it comes to the production on her music, so not releasing demos seems to be a way to combat how insecure she is. In reality, she could probably be more content having variations released but it probably really irks her as an artist that people hear her stuff when it's so unrefined. Probably why she won't re-release AKA. Also the tag on Talus says 'Tantalus Mix 1.10 Rough _01' but that could be anything. Nothing juicyyyyy.
  3. Love the fact that there's a big ol' world of unreleased Florence to look forward to when it randomly drops. And no teases or clout chasers! Shame - but respect - that she passed on Electricity since it probably would've been her second big hit after Sweet Nothing. Tantalus I assume is written solely by Florence - the demo arrangement is very reminiscent of her disembodied vocals from Third Eye. It could've been really beautiful with proper production. I wonder if the myths and magic theme will ever been seen in an album (like Which Witch). Honey is probably my favourite of today's tracks, I think it definitely is an early concept of Sky of Song because of the lyrics on occasion are direct, or referring to the same stuff, and the bass line, but it sounds like a Dreyfus/Isa production so was probably written for HBHBHB (which has been confirmed anyway right?) Also, Honey has some awkward tag info on the file I have: Title: Have Some Dignity You Entitled Selfish Fuck Artist: Nobody Gave You Permission To Cause Harmful Actions Against Artists' Hard Work, But I'm Not Surprised, You Always Valued Personal Gain And Attention Over People And Their Artistry Album: Get Of Your High Horse You Obsessed Manipulative Abusive Cockroach Album Artist: I Know It's Devastating To You How Worthless You Became But Please Transform You Anger Into Something More Purposeful Is there a whole underworld of bitchy Florence fans I don't know about? Florenceboards IS THAT YOU?
  4. I guess that vinyl is uhhh GRASS green, like the grass that that violets bend backwards over.
  5. I am practising my pagan spells and hexing Donald Trump. ZazOOO! Where did you get that outfit?
  6. I don't know who you are, but you're my favourite new member. What an entrance you QUEEN!
  7. omg I actually love that West Coast one. I like how esoteric the actual ones are but those are so primal and romantic. Ugh someone touch me that way.
  8. Love Song - "Thanks for the highlights" which I wish it was, because it sounds less materialistic than "the high life". Ooooof. I feel that upset radiate across the distance, into the cursed state.
  9. Bruce Springsteen was like, hell yeah, that girl can sing. Literally.
  10. lol I literally considered buying a WiiU one JUST so I could play more Zelda. I think a Windwaker and TP port over to Switch is extremely unlikely as they have just been available on so many platforms already - everyone who wants to play it surely has a way to? But I have a 3DS, Wii and a Switch so maybe enough is enough . . . lol. I'm with you on a better map but overall I am torn on the items being absent . . . I thought it was audacious to cut off so many established conventions and I respect that. I liked getting all the tools at the start and then, in theory, you have everything you need straight away. And CONTROVERSIALLY I actually thought the beast 'dungeons' were great. And actually fun, since they were very brief and creative, coming straight back to Oracle of Season+Ages running for hours trying to pick up on one key I missed . . . I would rather not. Shrines I'm not sure on, I didn't have an issue but I would've liked some variation in the music. And also I got a bit of anxiety as my favourite weapons constantly break. I would've liked an option to pay to have them repaired, since it would've given more emphasis to rupees, which always end up being a false economy since you get loaded so quick. Someone give me this deviant in HETCH DEEEE Oops, I literally meant Zelda Universe. k I'm making a profile right now. I didn't care about her fake British voice but her casting was truly bizarre how old they made her sound, and yes how unmoved she sounded in those tears. I thought the voice acting on other characters were pretty good though.
  11. "I guess they really got the best of us, didn't they? They said that love was enough, but it wasn't." My favourite lyrics by Lana. The idea that love is supposed to be the force that conquers all, but we actually exist under this divine prank that we cruelly only find out about when things fall apart.
  12. holy shit I forgot about that!!! But some memory is stirring inside me of being infuriated at that. The perils of not being able to patch after release huh? I also don't find Link terrible to look at - Zelda looks like a dork but that's fine, and Impa's design is awesome. I remember there being criticism on how linear the story was but I must be remembering wrong or only partially, because I quite liked the arc . . . I read that BotW had a patch early on that enabled you to change the voice files for dialogue into a different language if you hated the original seeing as Zelda sounds like she is early 30s when she's actually 17. I changed to French so I'd vaguely understand some words but not entirely so it would still feel a little alien to me. But if I had to go through the game with the OG voice files I would've really shrivelled up my ears. Kk I'm gonna go join Zelda Dungeon, apparently I've been suppressing this Zelda love for a long time and need to go nerd out properly. Is this my new profile picture . . .
  13. All the pretty stars shine for you, my love Am I that girl that you dream of? vs I don't start fights, but I'll stop 'em all by any means
  14. I honestly can't recall the overall feel of the game, but for me I think it might've been stuck in an awkward place of wanting to sit down and play but needing to constantly move around so I felt like I couldn't 'relax'? One key moment was when first fighting Ghirahim and he did something with his hand and - if I remember this right - he moves his hand around and would grab your sword, but my hand was flopping around so he would always grab it and basically I spent like an hour trying to get it right. I also remember dying in the sky and/or constantly missing targets . . . because of something motion control related. The same issue with Twilight Princess, which I would like to revisit. Maybe I just subconsciously hate the Wii Remote (probably?). Also, Fi popping up every hour to say "YOUR BATTERY IS ALMOST DEAD LOL" yeesh. Fingers crossed for a remake however. I mean, looking at Windwaker's bad reception due to the celshade, and has now become one of the biggest fan favourite styles (not mine lol), I think it really would be worth a revisit. It has so many GOOD qualities, such as the music, terrific story, beautiful art style, and is the unequivocal 'start' of the series. And it has GREAT character design. Ghirahim! The sass, ego, the fashion, THE TOUNGE - he is a flaming kween and I have no choice but to stan #GhirahimWhiteHotForever. I think, other than Majora, he is the character I am most fascinated about in the whole Zelda universe. BRING HIM BACK. GHIRAHIM FOR SMASH. Edit: Edit: actually SlowGinFizzz how do the shrines with motion control from BotW work on Switch Lite? I remember I was playing with my Pro Controller somewhere (Kakariko?) and there was big hammer I literally couldn't move without the motion, so I had to go back to the Joycons. Same with those fuckin random platforms where you need to get the balls to fall through the holes. A truly terrible time.
  15. @@Clampigirl omg such great picks! The Gate of Time one is so gorgeous too. So much of the music in the game is like . . . sneaky cute? Follow Fi is another good mix of mystery/cute but also with a futuristic. I can't remember if I finished Skyward Sword or not (because of the motion controls) but I (re?)watched the ending on YouTube and hooo boy it's a ride! Also, this is my favourite CD/soundtrack - it's the most iconic pieces of OoT played with an ocarina and string orchestra. I bought it when I was like 13 and it blew my mind and still does. If you haven't heard this but enjoy Ocarina of Time's music at all, it's an essential listen. Okay so basically I see this thread is now a me, Clampi and @@SlowGinFizzzz spiritual journey BYE.
  16. I am considering getting Link's Awakening but I am way more interested in the open world formats. I am HOPING that Skyward Sword is going to make a port over to Switch but it's so uncertain because when pressed Aonuma basically was insulted at the thought of removing the motion control (by far the worst bit). So then I'm hoping for a port of Windwaker HD or Twilight Princess HD since WiiU lifespan was so short but I think both are pretty unlikely. Also I saw people on here praising the music!! The taste is jumping out. Zelda was one of the first experiences that got me fascinated with music when I worked out I could play all of OoT's Ocarina tunes on piano. These are some of my favourite musical moments that I'm revisiting lots. I think this is the strongest opener that the series has ever had. Fun fact - these were the first real instruments ever heard in a Zelda game! I also love the continuation a few scenes later. And of course the whole Ballad of the Goddess theme is just incredible. I wish Windwaker wasn't so fucking boring in the middle, would love to revisit the HD version which apparently cuts it down by heaaaps. The last melody of the title screen is one of my favourite at 9:20. And the Great Sea! And Outset Island! Oh MY. The score (and game?) of Majora's Mask is criminally underrated. I can't find a good version of this elsewhere but this arrangement of 'Final Hours' (from 3:45 onwards) is jaw-droppingly amazing. And the transition to Oath to Order! AND THE STRINGS AT 5:30. The fact that the order of the songs goes Fi's Farewell -> Fi's Gratitude -> Zelda's Lullaby -> Goodbye Impa. I can't. Skyward Sword has the worst motion controls but the best story by far. Other essentials: Spirit Tracks Overworld Theme // Spirit Tracks (SURPRISINGLY GOOD) Dark World Theme // A Link to the Past Oath to Order // Majora's Mask (never has there been a more epic song) Dragon Roost // Windwaker Romance in the Air // Skyward Sword All of the Ocarina of Time ocarina pieces!! I can't pick but I guess Serenade of Water or Minuet of Forest are my favourites. We are lucky to have a new orchestral interpretation every now and then which is so awesome! Saria's Song // Ocarina of Time Version (duhhhh) Song of Storms // Ocarina of Time version (DUHHH) Zelda's Lullaby // Skyward Sword version (DUHHHHHHHHHHH) I have no opinions on BotW music yet, other than I really liked Tarrey Town and Rito Village (obviously). Okay I am done . . . for now. Edit: okay look I've just gotta add one thing - the brilliance behind the gradual frenetic build and danger of Clock Town theme in Majora's Mask across the three days. TRULY TERRIFYING AND BRILLIANT.
  17. The scene from Instagram that Lana posted is from that movie. Also OOF Montgomery Clift was so hot before Hollywood chewed him up
  18. I was thinking about how Lana said she wanted Violet to come out before the next album. We know Violet is coming out in like 2 weeks (!) but the bulk of the project (physical book/CD/vinyls) are coming out in late September. So I'm a bit ehhh on if COtCC (guise pls don't persecute me for not using the fun other abbreviation, we don't call Born to Die 'BD') out by then. But considering how wild a time she had on Instagram, and how she doubled down on her stance, it would seem very flaky if she didn't deliver on or before her self proclaimed date of 5 September. And on the other hand, if it does come out then, then obviously there's an incentive for her merch to include the bundle purchase of both releases. Basically, I am cautiously optimistic 5(ish) September because it makes more sense for the label to make more money this way. Also, if Violet is bundled and manages to shift a record number of sales, I think a campaign for the Grammy for Best Spoken Album is kinda in the bag.
  19. Aiiiight who has Smash? I'm loving multi player online, maining as Zelda (also Corrin and Mewtwo, but Zelda is by far my strongest). She's also so interesting to play! Just wish she had her TP skin.
  20. I am in DEEP during isolation. It's like I forgot how much I loved Zelda. I played Breath of the Wild for the first time and got like 100 hours out of it on a first play. I wish I could play it again for the first time, I am absolutely floored by how brilliant it was. Since then, I've picked up a bunch of new ones to play through - I finished Spirit Tracks (which I appreciated as a creative addition to the series), just finished Oracle of Ages and have started Oracle of Seasons. I also picked up Triforce Heroes which is kinda redundant nowadays since no one is ever really on the multi player. But fun to try! I think I'm gonna next play Ocarina again, and then kick on with another party through of BotW with the expansion pass.
  21. Same. Maybe we should do something controversial or start a fight so this thread gets locked and/or deleted. Jokes aside, considering the latest discussions on this forum (and just general common sense) this thread seems quite bad taste. Most reactions here are just people coming across the thread in disbelief.
