There are two versions of the mixing Digital + single version: The CD + vinyl pressing version: You can hear alternative mixing throughout and also in particular there is a syncopated drum sample in the digital version at 0:59 which is missing in the CD pressing.

Unlike normal singers I don't think she has done a television performance since BTD era? Her issue on SNL (and in BTD era) is that she hadn't worked out what sound she was supposed to make. Baby voiced Lolita, the infamous 'lower' voice she claimed to use to distinct herself, or the Shakira vocals. She has grown enormously as an artist with her sound and is more than capable now, but I think she would still balk at the idea of performing live on TV.

Turns out things I am not interested in: -Lana made videos (Carmen, Lolita etc) -Videos where nothing happens (Honeymoon, MAC, Venice Bitch, That boring trio we got etc) -Videos where she repurposed material (Freak, White Mustang) So basically I don't care for 90% of her videos looool

I'll echo everything everyone had already said - my issue with the record is just cohesion. I arranged LFL into 3 EP sized playlists. I never listen to the album from start to finish, instead opting to just hit one that is good for a mood. Always in the mood for top quality Lana: Love + 13 Beaches + Heroin + Change + Get Free Political + Folky: GBA + Coachella + TNC + BPBP + War Trap Beats: Summer Bummer + Cherry + In My Feelings + Groupie Love + White Mustang + LFL The experience is a lot more enjoyable and way less jarring. Again, I'm glad we got a gazillion tracks instead of getting less material. But it's a messssss.

In 2017, I went to the Adelaide Fringe Festival and when I turned around at a bar I literally fell in love with the boy next to me. The situation was too complicated and about six months later he decided to get back together with his ex. I have never cried so much in my life since it was the first time I had ever cared for someone so completely and wholely. He was so carelessly mean in the end, but that's what being young is all about, leaning and growing. I grew a lot as a person and appreciate that time of my life since I'd never known true love and it was so amazing to know it was real, and I could feel it. It's probably just because of the Ultraviolence video but I see and hear this potential so vividly. It feels like it would've fit more with her older femme fatale approach in terms of image and lyrics, but who knows, she might return there one day.

I'd love her to work on an entire album with Paul Epworth. We all love Black Beauty which was produced by him. Paul has also produced Florence and the Machine, London Grammar, and Adele, and has the proficiency to add extreme power and drama to work. I think we're not going to get to that height again as Lana mellows out as she goes into later life, but it might have been more suitable earlier in her work.

No. 1) She could have (and probably did) record the majority of it before the announcement. As she did with NFR. She has had plenty of time to record too, considering her tour schedule and the time off she's had. 2) She never said it would be available as a physical record. Maybe it will come at some point but a digital release is very simple. 3) She was robbed and could have lost some of the work. She may have re-recorded it, but not been satisfied by the material. Too bad she told us a date and left it so late to announce it, but we need to be reasonable. Whoever robbed her is probably to blame.

Disappointing. Not unexpected. Reasonable considering the theft. Considering Lana . . . not surprising!

Actually, the term sample can cover anything from instrumental sounds to lyrics and phrases, so it could be refering to the drum patches if they're just a Pro Tools sample or from somewhere else! No idea though since Doin' Time is the one getting changed . . ?

Why would anyone ever buy this version without the extra tracks or without Paradise. YIKES.
