  1. I haven’t heard the lakes, but Margaret as a whole sounds like it seriously could’ve been Taylor’s song in the folklore era. I can just hear her singing it.
  2. I'm gonna say it: this might be my favorite album of all time. I haven't changed my favorite album since 2016 (7 years ago), so I'm not saying this lightly. Lana is a genius.
  3. I'm so excited to wear the A&W necklace - a necklace pronouncing myself an American Whore without anyone else knowing what it means. Plus, it being Lana merch in reference to one of her best songs + Lizzy Grant 2000s bedazzled aesthetic. I'm a big muscular masculine straight passing guy so the thought of me wearing this girly bedazzled slutty necklace (I usually don't wear anything like this) only makes it better. Can't wait for it to arrive.
  4. I’m so excited for Luscent’s review. I like Jon Denton a lot, but I feel like a lot of his reviews lately have felt like they haven’t given much which isn’t his fault if that’s his natural reaction and/or if he doesn’t vibe with the album much. But Luscent always gives us so much emotion and insight to his thoughts which I love.
  5. I never thought Lana would be able to beat NFR, but I think she's done it here. And it's weird to me because I feel like part of the reason NFR is so strong is that each song is so strong. But with this album, there are a lot of songs that have been kinda forgettable to me so far or not even my style of song I'd normally listen to on their own, but listening to them all together, the album just sounds so deeply touching, innovative, and complex in the best way possible. This might even become my favorite album of all time, and I haven't had that change since 2016. The only album that came close to changing that is NFR. I can't believe I've been so lucky to experience and follow an artist this brilliant during my lifetime.
  6. Just need to say that The Grants is a really beautiful opener for the album.
  7. I love how this album takes me to another place, especially Paris, Texas. It feels so whimsical yet melancholy and dark. It’s so beautiful.
  8. Ranking after 3-4 listens: Paris, Texas A&W Fishtail Candy Necklace Jon Batiste Interlude Judah Smith Interlude Taco Truck x VB The Grants Fingertips Kintsugi Sweet Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd Let the Light In Margaret Grandfather please stand Peppers I feel like I need a lot more time with numbers 10-16 (besides Ocean Blvd) listed above as a lot of them run together in my head for me or aren’t as memorable as the first 9 I listed.
  9. The way I just made a statement with zero positive or negative opinions but everyone assumes I’m throwing shade. 💀 I actually like both songs, and I wasn’t trying to imply any specific feelings about either song. I just think they feel similar.
  10. Lana is one of the few artists that can release an album that’s an hour and 18 minutes long, and it still doesn’t feel long to me.
  11. I also find it funny how many times I keep seeing people accidentally mixing up Fingertips and Fishtail.
  12. A&W/Judah Smith Interlude/Candy Necklace/Jon Batiste Interlude is my favorite Lana run of any album
  13. Not to be that person but the fact that Taylor’s Midnights has a higher Metacritic rating than this album…
  14. im not the one who posted but there are browser extensions you can download that can turn all websites dark themed. They’re probably using one of those.
  15. I’m all about an ass shaking song but Peppers feels out of place on the album sonically and lyrically and might be my least favorite.
  16. Desperately wanting to keep replaying the album but trying not to overplay it
  17. Yes, luckily more than half the price, and I’m supposed to get it two months earlier than the official. I just hope the quality is good and I feel bad not directly supporting Lana and the artist.
  18. Not the A&W necklace getting restocked after I bought a knockoff from Etsy two days ago.
  19. Target has always done this. I always buy Lana’s CDs from them bc it’s most convenient and cheapest for me, and LFL and NFR both had a “poster” that was really just the booklet laid out on one sheet with the poster on the backside. It’s the worst of all worlds because you can’t flip through the booklet and the poster is too folded to even be displayable.
