But guys this song is so incredibly beautiful. My mother adores it! Her voice is so flaunted on this track and the instrumentals compliment her vocals. The intro sounds so cinematic, so by sounding more like BTD she probably means leaning towards the cinematic feel of BTD. The intro sounds so nostalgic, it gives me the same old black-and-white movie feeling just like Lolita does, I'm leaning towards the 1962 Lolita film, but it mightn't be it, I'm pretty sure I'm thinking of an exact film though, not just old movies in general.
Anyway, HM has a lovely feel and I have an idea this album will be legendary.

Oh and the bridge is heaven, I knew it would be. And the ad-libs are breathtaking!

Our Lizzy Grant has sure come a long way since "Video Games". What a shattering masterpiece.

Lana Del Rey is very much still Lizzy, just pretty much a glossy, "finished" version, hahah. Also, she concentrates on her aesthetics as Lana Del Rey.

Lana: *Doesn't post anything on social media*

Fans: *Get pissed at the silence*

Lana: *Shows important people in the development of an album that she obviously cares a lot about on an instagram made specifically for said album*

Fans: "Wow she's teasing us and her promo sucks. Can she just release music already instead of these instagram posts?? This is so boring. Who's next? The mailman?"

I know not all of the comments about the instagram are said in a malicious manner, but damn, the girl really can't win.

Mmmh, but, God to me is real & I'm pretty sure He is a male so that's why I say she's a goddess. Otherwise, she's Jesusina
    And yayyy

Also, to those who say Lana's imagery is repetitive and that it's a flaw of hers, I actually disagree. It makes it obvious that these things mean a lot to her. It's just like repetitive words in a text: it adds an emphasis to that phrase or whatever it is. Like, I once learnt that blues music often involves repetitive lyrics, and the reason for that is to exaggerate whatever is being said. So, in a more...visual form, I believe this is what Lana is trying to achieve...or it's what she has achieved anyway.

    i hade to

Okay, to me, Lana is literally a fucking goddess. Like, no one is more perfect than her (I'll be real though, she does have imperfections…but I guess these imperfections make her even more perfect as we realise she is only a mere human, and all humans have flaws).

I am a big fan of jazz. Sonically, I love Lana's style, although if I were to listen to another artist of the same style, I'm not sure if I would enjoy it. Lana's voice has this angelic quality to it, and to me, it's actually somewhat addictive (I do mention around this time last year of what I called "the drug phase" where I was literally addicted to her and I was not happy unless I was listening to her & it's all I ever wanted to do). It's like there are specks of gold within her voice, a treasure amongst her vocal chords, and each time she sings, a little bit of that treasure comes out with it that was the worse metaphor ever. I do miss Born To Die's orchestral instrumentals, though.

Lyrically, Lana's style is so beautiful, so magical, so…poetic, which was in fact Lana's goal (or so she mentioned in Ride's monologue). Her words are so eloquent, they posses a kind of prose. As aforementioned, Lana uses literature within her work, which makes it even more poetic. And personally, I believe her usage of themes like daddies, Coney Island, Americana, gangstas, etc. is very poetic indeed. These images are what inspired her and all poets have inspiration. Not only that, but using these themes and turning it into an aesthetic, a persona, a profile, is yet another very talented and creative thing to do. Also, using these themes to describe her life is also important, maybe these images hold some significance to her? Maybe they are special to her. Perhaps they helped her through some of the difficult experiences she claims to have gone through.
And some of her songs pretty much sound like they're coming from my own mouth, I can relate to them so much. This, the fact that I feel like I'm not the only one, and that she might actually understand me, play a very big part. She's just a very relatable person …to a point, of course.

Also, sorry if none of this makes any sense, it's like almost one in the morning here and I'm really tired.

Yesss, I've started to realise that now. She's more herself, which I'm really glad. And I don't know, the word "honeymoon" to me, with its yellow-gold imagery, like the sunset, seems very natural.

I think Lana Del Rey is just a stage name, and it doesn't go deeper than that.

She herself has even said that there is no difference between Lizzy and LDR. I do think that she tries to be herself in public, but obviously she's still a different person when she's just with her friends and family and not in front of a camera or crowd. But this is more of a privacy thing than a "persona" thing. I don't think she has sat down and consciously created a character she's going to play for everyone.

A lot of artists use stage names. Rihanna's real name is Robyn, Nicki Minaj's real name is Onika Maraj, Bruno Mars is Peter Hernandez, Calvin Harris is Adam Wiles, Lorde is Ella O'Connor, etc.

For some reason people have a strange fixation with Lana's stage name. It's just show business as usual.

LOL, anyone have any good, well thought out, intelligent posts to make on this?

DUH, of course Lizzy Grant and LDR are from the same physical person, LOL,  but as we all know,
we create characters and movie scenes in our characters, much like writing a book or a movie script.
it needs to be interesting for others. Lizzy said this before. people like to color things up.

People should realize how foolish they can sound (or look), when they can create a thesis on something
that is completely based on their interpretation (opinion) on the topic at hand, and none (or very little) based on reality.
We all love fantasies dont we?
