For the first time I really don't like Lana's video!
It looks like video made with phone camera just for fun. It's not about quality cause for ex. Summer Wine look similar and I really like it.
This video looks like a joke... I am disapointed. 
And her mimicry looks affected. And her lips looks bigger again. I don't like it at all. She should stop with lip fillers.

You call this work? Eating an orange in a wedding dress, filmed with an iphone? I don't think so...
 
I didn't grow up in the film industry, but I love cinema and to me this was far from beautiful. Even her homemade vids were more interesting and creative than this "video". This is plain awful and it's not even original, she's a parody of herself in the SS video as she even used the same filter/effects. She also looks terrible.
 
I respect your opinion but this is certainly not my cup of tea.

I get she's trying to detach herself from the BTD/Paradise era with her music and visuals but there are better ways to do it then to put out poorly made music videos. I've already accepted the fact that we won't be getting anymore BTD, NA, or Ride style music videos, but that doesn't mean that there should be a complete and total lack of effort. Summer Wine, Summertime Sadness, and all of her old Lizzy videos are perfect examples of where she was given little to work with yet managed to make something good. I would rather only 2 quality music videos or even 1 rather than 3-5 poorly made ones.
 
This whole era seems to me that she's trying so hard to prove that she is authentic and it's ultimately ruining everything. 

The video is boring. It probably is the first time and the last time I watched it!

UMM WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ULTRAVIOLENCE SAMPLER FOOTAGE????

Every video this era so far is just SO FREAKIN SLOW. In fact, there is hardly anything going on . And in all of them Lana herself looks so bored half of the time, that you'd think she will fall asleep in her own video. 
 
Disappointing and totally ruining her reputation as an artist who knows how to bring her music alive through visuals.

What a boring mess. I expected more tbh but all we got was Lana eating some oranges,sucking some dudes fingers and her looking doe eyed at the camera. Im not usually negative towards Lana but this was lazy on so many levels its unreal. Lana and the music vid looks gorgeous tho I give her that...

I'm sorry but did we watch the Same video ? She ate an ORANGE, what more do you hungry wolves want ? Geeez...
 
Haha jk I'm very disapointed, i thought the trailer was good but this is bad. There's a good idea, in it, but she didn't go far enough with it. To begin with she should have filmed at least 2 more sequences to give the MV more flow. What was that horrible close up on her wet mouth while she was "hauntily" eating her orange ?? And it's a detail but I don't like seing that orange plastic thing (from local works I présume) behind her when she steps in the chapel.. The butterflies cameo was good though lol.
The coulors were nice, the shadow effect hiver by her veil, though not groundbreaking, was nice as well, the bouquet has a nice romantic quality, but... How can LANA DEL REY, the Queen of MV give us THAT ? After BTD, BJ, SS, VG, NA, Carmen, Ride, Tropico, even SOC .......... I don't get it.
This only reinforces my longing for BTD/Paradise ...
Oh well, on to the next one !

lol this isn't very good.  LDRO says it was filmed in italy?  I wonder if that italian guy filmed it.  I can't even imagine that conversation. "Hey baby i know we just met but can you film me looking depressed and sad in a wedding dress?  k thanks"

The videos are so disappointing this era. Shades of Cool is the best so far but I don't even think it's that great. West Coast is acceptable because, well, the video is just her on the West Coast. But Ultraviolence I was expecting a higher production or at least a more shocking video with a concept/plot. The Born To Die video is more "ultraviolent" than Ultraviolence. It deserved a video so much better than this.
 
I feel like I'm going to be forever waiting for another BTD high production/large concept video and it's never going to happen.

How'd the promo single get something grander? I don't know how it works, but I find that odd. This song had so much potential visually.

I'm pretty disappointed. :/ I kept watching to see if it would go anywhere and it never really did. I feel really underwhelmed. The best part was the end when she walks into the church thing since I guess it reveals that she was left or the man in question died or something along those lines so at least there was a snippet of story to it. The missed potential is killing me since this could have been so great.
 
She WAS very pretty in it though so there's that.

such a disappointment y'all. ugh i'm so pissed rn. it's just so lazy, it's not even like her lizzy home made videos, like no effort went into the making of this. 

I like the concept of Lana wearing a wedding dress in some kind of noir movie. It give us that Virgin Suicides look that we all love ( or at least I do). However I'm really concerned the video is all about Lana in a wedding dress doing gifable things and looking sad. Based on the previews there is anything really besides this.
 
Also a lot of people here still didn't get that Lana is no longer interested in being a pop star ( or at least to be considered one).
For me UV sounds more a natural progression from Aka, it's like BtD and this "Gangster Nancy Sinatra" sound never happened to her.  So it makes sense she's doing this video herself since she's always talking about how things were simpler and this exactly the image she's building this era- no longer the 50's beauty queen, casual looks in her videos and promotional images etc.
