Where's that demographic breakdown from? There's no way there are more 40 year old fans than the hundreds of 'little monsters' teens.

Ride - 5/5 - Loved it from the very first listen, the power this song has still amazes me (I tried not to overplay it so it's still special to me). The video helped strengthen my view of it, but I already adored everything about it before. The rhythm, the lyrics, everything. American - 3.5/5 - I think it's pretty good, has a catchy sound to it, but the lyrics are a bit meh at parts. I like it, just not a favorite. Cola - 3/5 - it's growing on me, I won't resist it it's very catchy Body Electric - 4/5 - I like this one more than I thought I would! The lyrics stuck with me, it's really dramatic like I like 'em (otherwise those mild religious references would be a bit unnecessary) and I find it pretty good. Blue Velvet - 4/5 - She sings it in a very delicate, haunting way, I enjoy it (and of course the song itself is amazing). Gods and Monsters - 1/5 - Hate it. Everything from the ridiculous lyrics to the monotonous tone she keeps the entire song to the pretty boring sound of it. Tend to skip it involuntarily when it comes along. Yayo - 3/5 - Always liked the song itself and the new version brings an... interesting sound to it. My brain still prefers the first version but this one isn't bad. Bel Air - 5/5 - Adored it from when I first heard the demos! My ears just love it, I feel like playing it constantly, it's such a beautiful song. Burning Desire - 4.5/5 - Ah this one is so husky-voiced and sexy, in a dark kind of way, makes me want to ride through the night with a dirty biker or something. -

Well of course I'm crazy after DP then, Melodrama is my middle name I actually like it for most of the reasons Hundred Dollar Bill dislikes it! See what I mean. (by the way I'm aware a lot of you love Dark Paradise, but it just tends to get overlooked )
-
Oh really? Well, I think I generally tend to be into songs people don't think much about (Dark Paradise is my favourite song off BTD and I don't really see people even mentioning it much) so I'm not surprised my tastes kind of clash against the majority or whatever. But I don't want people to feel insulted by my opinions - just keep in mind they come from someone who loves Burning Desire or some song you hate. Cola is nonsensical to me and just very ... I'm not sure, random? I understand it's supposed to be a *fun* song and it is catchier than Gods and Monsters in that sense, but it's just so weak even if it comes off as quite try-hard. Gods and Monsters is just lazy - both the sound of it and the lyrics go off the tangent to the point where it becomes all over the place, around whatever meaning she tried to get to. I just don't feel them at all. Maybe they'll grow on me, but there's something I inherently don't like about them so I quite doubt it. I love the rest of Paradise though I didn't use to think very highly of Body Electric when it came to the lyrics, but in comparison with those two it has some parts I actually like and I just adore the sound of it.

I noticed they're really popular so I'm kind of scared to go on about that, I just think they're a mess to put it tersely. But if everyone likes them it might be just me

Bel Air is a masterpiece! Loved it from the first listen, has such a heavenly sound to it. -
Cola and Gods&Monsters, I finally find youu.

She must be trolling, right? First reason she voted for Romney is that 'he's so gorgeous!!' and that America didn't have a hot president since Kennedy "and we all know how that ended" I can't take her seriously and that green plane thing on her hand is not helping . Am I just being overly-optimistic about humanity
-
Do you think she's happy with it? I'm not sure - I'm happy she's touring, but I was thinking if she could have it her way, I doubt she'd do so many shows.
-
I'm so happy about it I'm not even in America and I feel relieved. I'd have thought twice even about visiting with Romney as president, his whole ideology scares the hell out of me (and the idea he got pretty close to his goal).

I got the flower-pattern blouse it's so elegant and light to wear, I adore it. I wanted to get the 'Angora' jumper too but I had something similar already. Now I see it was a good decision.

I'm trying to get my hands on Dubliners and some Steinbeck books I didn't read. I seriously stagnated with reading last month, I'm not entirely sure why (oh yes, I didn't like the book I was reading but I didn't want to order a new one so soon). So I lavished in Lolita again, although I've read it a couple of times before. Think I'm ready to move on at the moment. I'm also reading Amy, My Daughter at the same time but it makes my mood go down really low so I avoid it often. Sigh

I'm not sure if I'm meant to be laughing like an idiot at Donutella or not but it's hilarious I totally agree by the way, there's a big difference between Lana and Gaga style-wise and Lana's does work better with the classy look of Versace. Gaga is a bit chameleon-like so it might work, but it's really all marketing in the end.
-
I don't know, I think Gaga might 'sell'. I mean people bought her perfume (or were they just the fans?), I tried it in Boots once to see what the fuss is about and it smelled really generic but everyone was praising it like it was Jesus in a bottle. I mean

I doubt Lana cares.

I'll just come out and sound like a crazy fanatic person, but there's really no song of hers I dislike. I've been a casual listener for a long time and every time I'd find 'new' songs of hers I was amazed that I liked them without exception. It rarely ever happens with other artists, and in a way it made me appreciate her music even more. The only ones I'm bored with a bit are the ones which have been my favorites at a time and I overplayed them a lot, but it has nothing to do with the song themselves.
-
Pretty much this. Often I find out that I misunderstood/didn't know crucial lyrics that I listened to a hundred times

Aww saw some pictures a few days ago and wondered if that was Coney Island, looks like it is. Hope everyone is okay around there
-
why do you think But really, what is she doing these days? Still touring?
-
Sadly no, just London, but I'm pretty sure doors open at 7 here too. I love queuing though! ^_^ (and getting a bit tipsy while at it). That whole excitement in the air and being surrounded by people who share your little passion and pretty much the promise/guarantee of a great night, it's an amazing experience to me. I only get so happy when I really love the artist playing so it's pretty unique.
