  1. THAT OPENER. Norman fucking Rockwell such a fucking amazing song. Album is brilliant she continues to do whatever she wants and has no concern for doing anything other than following her convictions it is so endearing. Who the fuck is making songs like Bartender in 2019. How can anyone who makes songs like that be this popular and successful???? She wears her influences on her sleeve with no pretences at all and that's what makes all the references etc work. Seems like she is in a place in her life where she has fully reflected on any hardships she has had and she has this new humour that isn't present at all on her earlier albums. I think this album has the most of her personality in it. She wins again!!! I have been here for a reconciliation with Barrie for a hot minute they were such a badass couple I didn't think it would actually be possible. He was with her during the most bizarre times of her life through fame and how hard she had it in the media it seems it would be a lot easier for them to be together in 2019 where she has it so much easier.
  2. I can't believe she really did this she's insaneeeeeeee. Who else does this????
  3. I'm still catching up with all the press she did over the past 2 days. Wow in the NYT interview she said she listening to Kings of Leon in her 20s. And the Aha Shake Heartbreak album none the less She is literally incapable of not making me like her more every time she does something
  4. Ice cream truck mocking her own album cover. I DON'T know a funnier person
  5. Doin' Time is a #1 hit and it doesn't have to have reached #1 anywhere for that statement to be true!
  6. Also it's kind of huge that Doin' Time is on the A-list on BBC Radio 2 and the BBC Radio 1 B-List. TaP actually doing their job..... I heard it on the radio yesterday for the first time by chance. Can we say smash hit?
  7. DOIN' TIME VIDEO IS SO FUCKING GOOD and completely unexpected. So so fun her personality is unmatched >>>> This is her peak as an artist. Cannot wait to listen to the album for the first time tomorrow
  8. I just finished On The Road by Jack Kerouac because it's supposed to be a classic or whatever and I wanted to see what the whole beat generation was about. THANK FUCK that painful ordeal is over. Undoubtedly the WORST thing I have ever had the misfortune of reading in my life. I honestly questioned my sanity sometimes and wondered if I just didn't have the attention span to digest it (despite making a real effort this year to read more books and enjoying all of them so far.) So it was really comforting to read so many people leave this book 1 star reviews on goodreads and feel the same way lol. I assumed that the "classic" must have just gone over my head. What a load of rambling nonsense. Anybody else read this? One thing I will say is that I am a more patient and tolerant person walking after reading this straight garbage for nearly 300 pages. Fuck Jack Kerouac. Moving on to Junky by William S Burroughs
  9. The greatest is such an amazing song. it has the nostalgia and retrospect that makes Ride so special and also her best song.
  10. I'm honestly excited just to read Alexis Petridis's review of NFR and to watch fantanos lmaoooo This is a classic https://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/jun/12/lana-del-rey-ultraviolence-review
  11. Any similarity to the s*m sm*th song is automatically cancelled out because he sang that completely unmemorable song for the James Bond movie when it should have been Lana. and he fucking sucks.
  12. Lol this is funny because when that song came I joked that it sounded like something off of Paradise. I honestly hadn't thought about that until now. I do think there is some subtle similarity. Also the first few times I listened to the chorus of Fuck it I love you my brain was just playing the bridge to 24

I skimmed through this album out of pure interest because I heard the title track and thought it was quite good and much closer to her older songs and concluded the album is absolutely dreadful. Couldn't last more than 20 seconds on some songs. How is she 30 years old and singing about SCHOOL on every single track? So lame - I just don't think she has anything to say? Her lyrics always seem to revolve around what people think of her and never what she actually thinks for herself. It's really bizarre because I will always think Fearless and Speak Now and some songs from Red are really really good so how is it possible that she could regress SO much as she got older?
  14. Well, what can I say the video and the songs exceeded any expectations I had and I already knew they would be fantastic. This album is already undoubtedly her best judging from all the songs released. She has inserted her own personality so much in this album in a way I think is only comparable to some of her really early laptop demos - the lyrics are less broad and could truly only be sung by her and its that crazy world that she creates that we buy into. The full-fledged return of the surfy vibe is so exciting. Fuck it I love you has echoes of Pin up galore for me which I think is one of her best songs atmospherically. The guitar solo on The greatest These songs are just too good and the video is fucking amazing. I love the imagery and the themes in it. She looks too good, every frame would be great as a cover..... This feels like a new peak for her music! I loved Lust For Life but with Norman Fucking Rockwell! feeling sooooooo unapologetically her, I think it's notable how she said Lust For Life was the first album she made "for the fans" and the fact Norman Fucking Rockwell! wasn't and wasn't even planned to be made at all is what makes it so compelling and exciting. I can't think of a better artist.

I dig everything she has done this year so much. From her style and stage performances to the music it feels like it is perfect for her. This is SO GOOD.
  16. This is honestly one song I never see ANYBODY talk about. I actually forgot it even existed until it just came on shuffle. I used to listen to it a lot. It is so good....
  17. Hahahahaha at it now actually being 2019. I need to complete the edition for tracks from 2016-19 and I'll post what I came up with. I don't use iTunes at all now so I haven't been keeping up with recent misc. tracks
  18. This is her?? Why does she look blonde and like 15 yrs old
  19. Dream setlist Us Against The World Shades of Cool Diet Mountain Dew *Fuck It I Love You *The Greatest Born To Die Brooklyn Baby Venice Bitch *Love Song Pretty When You Cry Hollywood You Can Be The Boss *Norman Fucking Rockwell Video Games Ride The 4* can be whatever from Norman Fucking Rockwell I haven't heard the snippets I just want her to do at least 5 including Venice Bitch from the new album. I did not buy a ticket to the 32nd leg of the Born To Die tour.
  20. Doin' Time is a bona fide classic. I can't stop replaying it. It SLAPS Holy shit now you mention it - best album openers in any discography ever. Ride.... FUCKKKKKK!!!!!!
  21. Nooo way did she release looking for america. can't wait til its on uk spofity tomorrow and to hear season of the witch whew
  22. I believe it is the first time she has used it in a song (that we have heard) and I don't know what that colour is
  23. Lana fans NEVER fail to surprise me. You can't even accept official announcements for what they are. It's like when she announced the song titles for the video she filmed and SOMEHOW people misconstrued Muscle beach baby for being a song title. It's mindboggling.
