No, Lana's voice is not deep at all. I think it's good that she's singing with her middle and high range more because that's her natural voice. You can tell she's faking/pushing her voice to sound lower but she fails 80% of the time. If not look at Summertime Sadness/Ride she hits the lowest note at least 7 times in each song but live she can't even do it once!
She even had to change the key of the song in the US tour to handle singing that way so many times.

She should embrace her high voice, cause that's where she sounds the most beautiful and natural. If she keeps pushing out low notes/trying to sound deep she will end up destroying her voice.

People who claim Humbert isn't pedophile haven't read the book I think... Like wtf didn't you understand about the 'nymphets'? Or the story with Annabel? He wanted to murder her mother to be alone with her - a true ladykiller.

The actual interesting thing is Lolita! And the fact the reader does not really know what's going on inside of her makes this thing a masterpiece! Like why the heck she has the desire to sleep with Humbert, why does she run from one old psycho man to another? Having sexual experiences even before Humbert..

what if lana knows we have this thread and decided to fuck with us like always and while writing uv she said to herself these little bitches are obsessed with k and jim and my teacher lover and everything i do. i can probably blow inside a bottle and they'll buy it. so ill just name drop Jim and have him open up for me for a few shows and sit back and watch these bitches spiral out of control until they eventually lose it. Cause trust no one.

They call you baby blue cause its your favorite colooour boy!

I agree with blue being associated with sadness BUT "you turn my mood from black to blue" -> black is prob deep depression and blue is actually happy but with a sad undertone.. I'm thinking of this interview:

Well, I guess when you truly believe her lyrics haven't worsen you must be in denial.. I just feel like she doesn't show as much variety any more, her lyrics have become really really simple instead of clever ryhming. She always talks about painting pictures with words, but they're not as vivid as they used to be. But don't wanna complain, I don't know but it's just that common phenomenon of your fave band/singer's first album, they just never go back.

I don't see why Lana would need to change the name. We all know that anything she says/sings sounds like silk so even if the person was someone named Greg or Allen whatever, she would make it work with the song. It is interesting though that she could have just said "he" taught me that rather than a name but, it wouldn't tell as much of a story.

Ultraviolence is obviously about a toxic relationship that both people are addicted to. Because, while Jim seems to be abusive it sounds like she was no better saying lines such as "He used to call me DN, that stood for deathly night shade" doesn't really paint a picture of someone who's nice. Obviously they're both crazy for eachother in the worst way. This song is seriously dark just like she promised. She literally wants to run back to him she can't keep that feeling away she wants it back she wants the Ultraviolence. The crazy toxic life they had together. It's almost like a drug that kind of feeling.

That's just what I think of the song though personally.

Well in HDB she says "you turn my mood from black to blue"
To me, I consider black to be a color that represents a mood worse than blue. Like, not depressed, but possibly suicidal (or something equivalent). Although blue is typically associated with feeling sad, in HDB I think she considers feeling blue a hell of a lot better than feeling black. I'm not much for crazy analyzing Lana's lyrics, but I think she was implying that even though Jimmy's ultra-violent swing and the way he treated her mean (making her feel blue), was a lot better than when she was feeling nothing at all (black)

    Does this make any sense?

She's saying "Don't worry about getting into Yale, just sleep with your teacher to get better grades and you'll solve that problem!" she's just not be grammatically correct, I suppose. I dunno, makes sense to me.

Also, putting in my vote for VODKA PEPSI!

also i think Jerry from Your Gonna Love Me could be Gerard W. "Jerry" Ford founder of Ford Models, it would seem weird that Lana would be close enough to her former modeling agent to write a song about him lol but apparently the fords let their teen models live in their house.

For real though, I don't think she's doing it for the money. She's just too nice to say no! Especially because Kanye supported her from the very beginning, tweeted Video Games or sth? Can't remember, but Lana seems to remember those things, same with Fearne Cotton tbh!

I mean on Ultraviolence I need want all new songs. Black Beauty doesn't count because it was meant for this record. If she remakes her AKA songs, they should be released separately and not on this record because for all we know she might never make a record again after this, so I want as many new songs as possible. Kill Kill is also one of my favorite songs and Yayo IS my favorite song and the remake, i liked it, but it definitely wasn't as good as the original. I'm not being greedy, I just don't want to hear remakes of my favorite songs on a new record.
