Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Just Cherry replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
I wrote him a couple of days ago because there were two or three questions I wanted to ask him and he wasn't too keen on answering them, except for which track he really enjoyed working on the most. Hopefully you can get a better response than "sorry, but I don't do interviews." -
Lana answers Frances Bean Cobain via Twitter
Just Cherry replied to CruelWorld's topic in New Interviews
Exactly. So many "problems" over nothing tbh. -
I would definitely love to see her again after how great she was in Grand Prairie, but I don't think she'll be back in Texas for a while, except for Austin City Limits. I'd say go to ACL since there will be plenty of other musicians there that are great as well. I just don't see a new tour happening soon, which really sucks for the places she played in prior to the Ultraviolence release.

Lana Del Rey Defends Herself Against 'The Guardian' Controversy
Just Cherry replied to Sitar's topic in New Interviews
Obviously not suicidal and a very misleading headline that was used solely for the fact that it's attention grabbing. I get that journalism is supposed to be able to attract readers, but misleading them into believing Lana's top priority is dying is nonsense. However, Lana was misguided with her tweets, especially mixing up the names. He's an ass, but so is she. -
Yes, it's her! Here is the studio version and here is the live version performed at The National Underground show in 2009.

Good for her. Journalists can be so fucking dumb sometimes. I'm glad she's sticking up for herself. -

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Here: Marilyn Monroe is the registered title on ISWC, but Puppy Love is registered as the alternate title. As for Let My Hair Down or Dance Man, @@NamiraWilhelm spoke to original poster on YouTube (Adam "Tags" Tagliomonte of Lizzy Grant and The Phenomena, supposedly) and he's admitted there was a title mixup. It's Dance Man, as far as we know. -
She definitely says "Maybe on the flipside I could catch me again" in the second chorus.

This could be super interesting! Brian Wilson is well known for his work as a songwriter, co-lead vocalist, bassist, producer, arranger, and co-founder of The Beach Boys. Due to his unorthodox approaches to song composition and arrangement, and mastery of recording techniques, he is widely acknowledged as one of the most innovative and influential creative forces in popular music by critics and musicians alike

Ultraviolence - Pre-Release Thread
Just Cherry replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
The standouts are Old Money, Fucked My Way Up To The Top, and Cruel World. It's great that the songs are long enough that both sets of snippets don't ruin them and there's still two completely unheard tracks. -
Pre-Born To Die. November 2011.

Paris. Which song mentions MAD magazine?
