  1. I'm in my Wizard of Oz era, the part where Dorothy lands in Munchinkland is probably my favourite in the entire movie.
  2. One of my favourites from the movie
  3. I don't like NFR, but it didn't feel like it lacked authenticity to me. I just think that besides Venice Bitch, which is a career defining song by all means, the rest of the album felt wishy-washy sonically. Also, I'm kinda over people acting like longer/wordier lines are automatically better than short or repetitive ones in terms of songwriting. I'd rather hear Lana say she's a sad girl on a continuous loop, than hearing her say that she's got fucked so good she almost said "I love you", or sing about her babies on the tourlyfe. I don't think any of her records lack authenticity, they just all belong in a very specific time and place in her life and her career as a singer songwriter--to the exception of Chemtrails and Blue Banisters who, by all means are good records, but they read more like half-albums or mixtapes. It is my belief that her first three records are her most iconique. Born to Die put her on the map, she cemented herself as a multifaceted and growing artist on Ultraviolence, and Honeymoon was her consecration.
  4. There is definitely a loss of innocence as years go by. I think it's hard to have a 100% open mind beforehand, or be completely oblivious to who produces her record before they are released, because Lana is more or less transparent about the process--she teases about her collaborators before the release every era, probably out of excitement for what's to come for her fans. That being said I agree 1000%. But I will say that I didn't dislike Jack's production on NFR having a prior knowledge of his production creds on other albums, I just didn't vibe with the most of the production on that album, because of the album itself. I still venture to say that despite suffering from similar flaws, Chemtrails sounded much better. Even the new song sounds better overall imho, definitely no more white noises, there is presence of bass, more obvious percussions, better balance of vocals/instrumentation, etc. I hope we have some Venice Bitch or White Dress moments on that album, because despite Jack not being my favourite, I think those songs are career highlights. I do believe that the best is yet to come.
  5. Banned for never changing yours
  6. We are revolting children Living in revolting times We sing revolting songs Using revolting rhymes
  7. 'YOU DON'T GO AWAY' is my favourite on the album I think. I honestly prefer the sound of this album compared to 'so sad so sexy'--I really do feel like she followed the trend of trap beats back in 2018 and she did herself a disservice.
  8. I'm confident she will announce the single drop before it happens, surprise releases don't seem to be her thing, except for that one time when she dropped three singles at once out of the blue. Hoping we get something before the end of this month, it'd be nice if she started the ''campaign'' around the Grammys.
  9. Do it!!! You're experienced and levelheaded enough I think.
  10. I'm guessing international shipping isn't quite good. But that's still in CAD so it's not so bad...
  11. Canadian besties, Universal Music Canada still have some of the website exclusive (white variant) in stock. You can also subscribe and get 10% off of your first order---the shipping quotes aren't as outrageous as her official Canadian website.
  12. One single per month leading up to the release sounds ideal to me. This album will be such a surprise, like close to 14 unheard of tracks.
  13. So fucking over artists clearing out their social media platforms whenever they're about to announce a new album or something. It's corny and unnecessary. Stop.
