Everyone was just talking about it in the random thread anyway, so ... I really don't think it is Elizabeth's release on Friday; Perez said it was "big" and I don't think a fourth single would constitute "big". Dropping the entire album would be "big", but she's made it clear that the poetry book is coming first.

The burning question is, though, if Kevin Abstract will be so inspired by it that he'll release a poetry book? And reference chem trails and Tesla? Also, is Elizabeth's book even called "Violets" any more? Didn't she say, "here are my photos for "The Land of 1000 Fires?"" in an IG post? I think one of the poems was called that, but she made it sound like it was the name of the book.

Yeah, in other words, 6 of Kevin's 11 tracks sound like Venice Bitch. I would love to know what Elizabeth thinks. (Yes, she is now Elizabeth). I mean, VB is already out but I hope to FUCK she doesn't listen to Kevin's album and go, "that sounds like [unreleased track]. I'M GOING TO REDO THAT TRACK" fml, kms, etc.

Oh my God I just went to her page (what can I say, I find fake LA culture fascinating) and she has a video of some fruit at a market and it's just ... it's so pretentious it actually hurts. Why does Lana seem the closest to the most vapid one? Jesus. The others don't seem too bad, but that one is a blatant sycophant ... Legit ... and I felt like LFL (the track) got far more attention than Love, which was a shame, because Love is far better. LFL (the track) is garbage truck juice, honestly.

Was it him that recently started following Lana again, or Lana started following him? In any case, he started following a bunch of her fans a few days ago; I saw their tweets about it. And he has a new album coming out in the summer so that's probably why, as much as I'd like it to be something more interesting than that. And I was just ranting yesterday about how Lana and Jaime are never seen together/don't follow each other any more.

Yeah back when her laptop was hacked I remember her saying she didn't really mind that much ... that she was angry that someone invaded her privacy, but she wasn't mad about fans hearing leaked songs. Or something like that. I can't quite remember. Ben, though .... someone ought to go tell him how much we like her new songs and watch the sparks fly.

I'm not sure I'm buying her being over being a celebrity. I think if she really was, she'd move out of LA for a start. If I was famous and I decided that I was over it, that's the very first thing that I'd do. She wouldn't even have to move far; and I don't know exactly where she lives in LA, but every time she goes out it's to West Hollywood, and she knows the paparazzi are going to be there. Sia is notoriously shy for a celebrity (after all, that's what the wig is all about) and she lives in Palm Springs, which is close enough to LA for work, but also far enough away that she isn't in the thick of the Hollywood lifestyle. If Lana attends the Met Gala then I think we can debunk this theory because if you don't want to be a famous Hollywood celebrity then you don't dress up lavishly in designer clothing and attend an event on the other side of the country where you know you will be photographed extensively. If she doesn't go, then that will raise questions. We can only speculate as to what her deal is but I honestly think it has much more to do with hitting her mid 30s, having a bit of an existential crisis, and re-prioritising. She's said she wants to have kids and as I said elsewhere, that can't wait forever. I think she feels she needs to put her relationships first rather than her work, which also explains why NFR is delayed and why she is spending so much time with these saddie friends. As distasteful as I find those friends, it makes sense in the context of my theory. She used to be friends with Jaime King and they're not even IG friends now (there could many reasons for that, but they're obviously not close any more because they're never seen together, which points to a falling out or drifting apart). All of her romantic relationships have failed miserably; as far as I know she is no longer friends with any of her exes (except possibly Barrie, but again, I don't think they're close because they are never seen together ... I also think Barrie would take her back in a heartbeat but that's a whole other rant). I don't think she's close with her mum, and perhaps not even her dad. Basically, all of the evidence points to her sucking at relationships for fuck knows what reason, and I'm sure it's not something that has escaped her notice. So yeah, relationships and personal life > work, whereas I think it used to be work > relationships and personal life. Unfortunately, her fans come under the "work" category which is why she appears to not give a fuck.

Eh I forgot about her. That's a good guess. I do think there's something going on behind-the-scenes with this album. Letting an artist have 3 or 4 months to just chill before an album release is understandable ... but 7 months? Her managers and label can't possibly be happy with that. Nobody sits on a finished album for that long. I know someone mentioned Bastille doing it but I think it's more understandable with a band because you need everyone available/in agreement for promo, touring, etc. Lana is solo; it's all up to her. I think there's a problem of some sort. I don't know what that problem is, but it's sketchy as fuck at this point.

I think it means most people know who they are. Most people know who she is. I mean probably not most people over 40, but yeah.

I mean, which other bitch has a finished-since-2018 album that they are yet to release? So it could be her. It's not Madonna, Britney, Taylor, Beyonce or Pink (or Marina or Florence, but I don't know if they qualify as "big" in the US market) ... My money's on Rihanna, Katy or sis. Or it might even be Coldplay or some shit. If it's Rihanna idm, if it's Katy I'll kms, and if it's sis I'll be ecstatic.

Well said ... I know we all joke around and stuff but if this is really upsetting for anyone, then they should take a step back. She doesn't give a fuck about a multitude of things, least of all a handful of fans on a message board ... Don't let her and her actions dictate your well being. You may not be a famous rich celebrity but your life and well being aren't less important than hers. Come here, post for fun, log off, forget about her and live your life.
