Some of my drawings are a bit sick, disturbing and monstruous, some are deliberately distorted and with malformed proportions, to accentuate the character's trait, emotion or overall atmosphere. I like to play with the tension between Eros and Thanatos, and, the theme of beauty and the beast or all in one is my obsession. I also deal with anxiety, melancholia,  hysteria or other psychical and mental states, which are mostly symbolized by a female creature, like queen, nymph, damsel in distress, goddess, mythical hybrid, wounded vixen. Polarities hunt me, like dichotomies between virginal and slutty, innocent and ripe, sadism and masochism, bestiality and vulnerability, angelic and diabolic, ethereal and carnal, male and female, jin and yang. I explore those dark, ominous, sticky caves of human psychic labyrinths, shadow self or demon within, palpitating on a vicious, sinister, grotesque, acid-soaked harph, or infernal oriental tambour. Some drawings are artsy and minimalistic, some are more elaborated and detailed, like illustrations.

I literally hated National Anthems's GUTS at first but now it's in my top 5 Lana songs

The first song and video of Lana's that I heard/saw was National Anthem. I was in my dorm room and my roommate had just gotten a poster of Marilyn Monroe. I was bored and so I decided to look up Marilyn singing to the national anthem to JFK, and all the comments were like "OMG Lana Del Rey National Anthem!" 
 
I was like who the fuck is Lana Del Rey. So I looked up Lana and the video and was blown away because of the images and the sound of National Anthem! Especially since Kennedy is my favorite president and Lana was Jackie O and ASAP Rocky was the president. 
 
I prefer her Born To Die music and unreleased material way more than the newer stuff, its just better

Ever since Lana mentioned the "tropical undertones" that "Gods and Monsters" possessed, I really wanted to make a music video for it that would feature jungle and savannah footage. However, I think I got a bit lost in its making, but yeah ... I hope you like it

I hate Lana's Nina covers. The original TOW and DLMBM are so beautiful, you can hear the pain in Nina's voice and she's perfection on the low notes. But with Lana well... you don't really feel anything! There's no soul to it. I know that sounds harsh but idk from Lana's vocals on the tracks it seems as thought she doesn't feel much regarding the feelings in the lyrics/vocal melody. It's nice to listen to I guess but I'd prefer if Lana sang songs that complemented her voice. Like maybe an Amy Winehouse cover (actually idk) or a peggy lee cover. But no nina my dear lana

God I'm glad someone said it. I think of UV as a cloudy day, Born To Die being right after nightfall in a chill carefree way, Paradise is the party at midnight, and HM is just a warm summer day. None of them are waking up in a terrified cold sweat in the dead of the night.
