Lizzy Grant/May jailer Old Myspace. (New Information)

The issue is also that she has this dichotomy in herself, where she's both this wannabe musicologist hipster who likes to listen to connoisseur music or lesser known artists (Les Baxter, Codeine etc.) ; and at the same time she loves "the masters of every genres" which always happen to be the most succesful and well known : Nirvana, Britney, Sinatra, indie darlings like Antony and the Johnsons... This struggle between this pop star sensibility in her music and attitude and snobish, hermit artist vibe, is so strong in her : the way she handles her career, promo... So I guess it's easy for a part of the press and the GP to not care at all for her, not indulge in her past music, think she's this bland girl, especially when she's had these passive-aggressive episodes with the FMWUTTP interview etc. -
Is there any ? I mean look at the comment section, it's only portugese marina stans squealin "yaaaaaaasss lana you is mom #goals". Girl is so insecure.

How come she's so fresh and clean when she's a chain smoker and likes to get litteraly fried by the californian sun ? Fillers can't be the only thing. What kind of satanic witch magic ? Only the Queen of Saigon. Her new hair color is pure bliss btw

The Water Girls is like one of her best visual idea ever (exotica, Les Baxter etc.) and she uses it for this ? A Windows screensaver ? Her artistry, for now, is slowly turning into a graveyard of slaughtered moments of greatness, with tons of shit splattered on their corpses. I'm not so mad about the Misty parts being intented for UV, as they do not fit at all with the urban jazzy/noir imagery she crafted for this era (and then threw away as usual) and they're quite meh and boring ; but they're clearly uneditted so anyway. Is Lana even ok ? She comes out of the house looking like a real yet uncomfortable & awkward diva once every 2 months, flapping her hand here and there ; and then she looks depressed, desperate and on codeine the rest of the time. How is that cohesive ? What is the plan ? I don't even mean from an artistic or career point of view ; I am not in position or whatever to judge her etc, but I don't think it's very healthy. When she posed next to Daniel Johnston back in november, dressed in that weird khaki thing, fried by the californian sun and just chain smoking, it actually struck me how close they are as characters, which I thought was impossible. I don't understand how she can still avail herself of so many great and underground artists ; and then put this dull thing out, trying to convince everyone in the room including herself that it's cool. I hope she comes through next time, a huge part of her discography alone is a proof of her talent, charm and uniqueness. But this I don't feel. -

She was so stressed out because of the fact that it was recorded, especially if you compare it to the first show ; I think they just scrapped it -

I remember last year, she talked about how influenced by the Liz Taylor movie The Sandpiper she was at the time and how it gave her ideas for videos. From the few visuals we got I can already sense it coming through, it fits with the lyrics. The 60s-cult-leader-wife-liz-Taylor-poseur-lizzy-grant-rap-californian-gangsta queen has arrived -

TOW is jazzier than the whole HM record anyway, and even that song isn't really "future jazz" either... Her relationship with jazz is so weird When she says that SOC is jazzy I see what she means but apart from that -

is that true ? Lmao everyday i learn something new about the UV era, that bottomless gold mine, that went wrong. Such a missed opportunity as a whole really ; it could have been a decade highlight in popular music and really transform her career. I guess now Lana herself must be so disgusted by the industry and how things never work out anyway. We should be glad she's just churning out benzodiazepine induced dark blues and getting chubby, & not turning back to booze, New Jersey and record executives. -

She also needs a band that sounds like a REAL band like UV, not the garageband sounding stuff on HM. And more sax/trumpets. I don't want the 2 seconds inaudible thing in TLY or Freak to happen again. I can really see her get into a Rock/jazz sound with exotica undertones, like a Auerbach produced version of MTWBT -

FMJ is so overated imo, boring basic chord progression, lyrically he's like the "indie" version of Drake aka soft-funny-mysoginism, inconsistent arrangements & such obvious yet uninteresting repartee on songs like "the ideal husband". But he's got a good voice, charisma, ideas even though he can't translate them into full realization ; and he's a very very good performer. He's actually quite similar to 2015 Lana Del Rey in some ways, so match made in heaven tbh And he's kinda hot
