The album doesn't really flow that well. Green Light into Sober feels awkward and the way Melodrama kicks in after Loveless feels like it comes on shuffle
  2. That's what I meant with "going out of your way to justify it". Really, this "she does not want to be famous" thing is getting reeeeeeeeeeeaally old. Her promo is messy and lazy (although she's been quite active lately), this does not have anything to do with fame. There are indie and alternative niche-artists that have a better promotion strategy than her.
  3. It's so funny how some of you went out of their way to defend Lana's tragic promotion strategy. Yeah, Love was leaked and yeah, she decided to add up tracks. But keeping quiet about the release date for so long is so annoying, and not uploading a f*cking pre-order is just as stupid. I don't get why some artists can just announce an album with the release of the single and then put up a nice and clean pre-order which already includes the release date and tracklist, while it's such a tiring slumber with Lona.
  4. If we get a promo single with a possible pre-order, then I'm pretty sure it will be Change.

Same with Sober 2. I feel like there needs to be more space between the lines ... it feels like they were glued together, which makes the track sound pretty hectic compared to the dramatic live version.

Grene Light 9/10 - Even though it had to grow on me, I think it's a great, fun song that still manages to feel meaningful and catch the break-up vibe. Sober 10/10 - My favourite song on this album, it's a bit like green Light's slightly darker sister. The production is great, I love the drums and the trumpets, the layered vocals and how the track keeps building up. Homemade Dynamite 7/10 - It's an ok track, the beat and synths are nice, yet nothing that sticks out too much on the first listening. The Louvre 7/10 - At the beginning I thought this was a pretty promising track, her vocals and the riff/buildup during the first verse are quite intriguing. But I just don't really like how this song turns out. Perhaps it will grow on me Lieability 8/10 - It's a beautoful ballad with a nice lyrics. Grew on me, yet I still feel like it could have been more exciting with a few touch-ups. Sober ll 9/10 - A great title-track with a slight Lana-vibe, I love the production (especially the pidgeon-sounds), the breakdown and the way her vocals sound super emotional. However, the tracks feels a bit hectic compared to the live version, could have been longer. Hard Feelings/ Loveless 7/10 - Hard Feelings feels pretty PH-ish, it's definitly interesting and time will tell how much I actually like it. Can't really decide after the first listen. The Loveless part is pretty cute, I like the beat. Writer In The Dark 8/10 - Underrated track! I love her vocals during the verses. The build-up to the chorus feels a bit weak at the first moment, yet I think it was actually executed pretty good. Supercut 7/10 - Feels like a pretty classic Lorde song. Not pushing the boundaries but I could see it growing on me. Lieability (Reprise) 7/10 - If she actually took the lyrics, the beat and the delivery and made a proper song out of them, this could have been pretty good. But the way the track is, it feels a bit lackluster,, especially those auto-tuned samples. Still nice. Perfect Places 6/10 - It has some nice moments, but generally this feels like the least exciting song. Her raw-vocals during the first verses and the Team-esque beat seem intriguing, yet I think the track gets pretty boring as soon as the first pre-chorus kicks in. Nice but far from being impressive or memorable. Pretty sure that this is a grower-album. From the first listen, I actually really like the vibe this album has. The production is not as intriguing as this electro-wasteland-sound she had going on on PH, yet it seems much more diverse. For a lot of songs I think I just need to re-listen them more often, maybe when I'm in the right mood, to actually decide whether or not they are just nice or actually good

Can someonse send me a link? Can't seem to find a legit one and I'm so thirsty for the studio version of Sober 2
  8. Well but now it sounds worse, I guess she just wanted to change SOMETHING and fucked up
  9. "If you want the stems - buy the album" seems fair and nothing anyone who has 10 bucks to spend on an album should worry about
  10. The most terrible thing she did to OHDH was taking out those vocal samples (or whatever that was). They really made the song bang and now it just feels like there is something missing, especially during the bridge and the intro.
  11. Ready for her to deliver some stiff and out-of-tune vocals during a cringy to watch "Change" performance
  12. Why didn't she explain what drug she was on when she decided to butcher OHDH?
  13. White Mustang and Cherry give me hope for the album, I hope both will be on there!
  14. Both of them sound great though, having multiple songs with that kind of vibe sounds promising. And ew @ you hoping Cherry not making the cut!
  15. "Chocolate Jesus" by Tom Waits The lyrics would definitly match a more playful-Lana-track.
  16. The studio snippets of the track playing in the background sound great but the way she sings along is honestly really off-key and unpleasant to listen to
  17. So I just listened to CX2 in full. Paper Love and Need You are nice songs that, with better promotion, could have been quite successful on the radio. Old Habits Die Hard could have been the best track if she wouldn't have decided to completely butcher the production of the track. I really don't understand why she fid that. It's still nice but the single version was waaaaay better. True Love Is Violent has some sort of appeal but it's also tacky af. Don't really know how to feel about Downtown - has the potential to either be a grower or a song you just forget about. Vintage is super meh - not even bad but just boring and generic. That's So Us is still the most cringeworthy track she ever did and I can't believe she picked that terrible mess over other Unsolved songs like Misbelieving, All The Rage, Alexandra or Too Much To Dream. Lifted is a suprise-fave, didn't expect much from it but it actually turns out to be a fun song with a good production and even the lyrics are fine. Simon Says is a standout of the album, I love the edgy and slightly dark vibe it has. Casanova still is the best track on the record, the club-ish feeling, the vocals, the production ... probably the best song she ever did. I think Cx2 is definitly better than the first one. Her vocals are not annoying high-pitch-screams anymore, the productio is more interesting and feels a bit more diverse and the songs aren't as anticlimatic. It's still not much more than a fun pop album to listem to when you are in a good mood - nothing too deep or innovative - but I guess it's still a good album to have
  18. Since I don't think we will get Cherry before the official album release, I'd guess that Change will be the pre-order promo-single
  19. I wonder how many of the teased songs will actually be on the album though I mean, it would only make sense if Change, White Mustang and Roses Bloom For You were on there, but just like with BAR, I don't want to get my hopes up to much
  20. The only cover I'd love her to do on LFL is Chocolate Jesus by Tom Waits
  21. The lyrics are pretty cool
  22. I PREORDERED AT HER F*CKING MUSIC-GLUE SITE AND NOW I DON'T GET ALL THE F*CKING TRACKS?!?! Only Paper Love, Need You, Casanova, That's So Us and True Love Is Violent. WTF?!?

It's as great as the live version. Knew that this would going to be a standout, I hope it will be a single
