If she just performed a Bowie song in this style during one of her concert, that would be perfectly fine. Covering a song your way and presenting it as a part of your set is something every artist can do. But if you say you are paying tribute to someone, it should definitly be ... respectful. that doesn't mean you have to copy the artist or do it in a cheesy, faux-emotional way, but all Gaga did was shameless self-promotion and enjoying the medial attention.

that's kind of a silly argument though since it was a BOWIE TRIBUTE. Like, if she just randomly covered him ... ok. But selling it as a tribute, it was really just that ... Gaga with a bit of Bowie for all the gags stans who don't even care about him either way.

No hate,m but nothing about this was a tribute to Bowie. It was a Gaga performance and Intel promo. That's pretty much it. Bowie was an inspiration and a nice way to put thi performance in a spotlight but ... nothing about it really feels like it's actually a tribute to a person.

The "original" West Coast video had the fire-scene looking even worse than the final one and it had a shot of her singing the chorus in the car, looking rather "sad" (the final version cuts off before this angle is shown) Didn#t she said she wrote it AFTER seeing a movie which inspired her? I can't remember that it was confirmed it was for a movie.

If she did anothe ralbum in a different direction it really needed to have a bit more diversity and some kind of "exciting" frame to work.

This is the unpopular opinions thread, so you are actually the one behaving off. He stated that Lana's lyrics are kind of limited, which is something that's hard to turn down. If you like them or not, it definitly suprises if a song is NOT about love in one or the other way. Multiple people, critics or fans have brought it up, so he seemingly has a point.

She's not struggling, I guess she was justr thinking about the question. And I don#t see her being too uncomfortable this time.

Freak was a bit of a let down but her looks .. wow, first time in a long while I'm actually really happy seeing candids of her.

I just hope she won't settle down within her comfort zone too much, because that's what I felt happened with Honeymoon. High quality songs, but nothing new, nothing exciting ... But I guess it's very hard to predict her.

That's delusional though. I'm here for her doing a bit more upbeat and FASTER record, either way in a slightly more pop style or maybe going for a guitar driven style but regressing to BtD would be stupid. Just listen to the album and her voice now. She has matured and going back to the Gangsta Lolita style would not fit her.

The Blue Jeans video is perfect, pls excuse yourself. It's meant to be more "visual" and it does it in a wonderful way and it still tells a story.

just saw this and .. WOW! Great to see she got them looks again. Hope she keeps it like this for the next album!

The footage looks nice, the way it was cut is extremely boring and anticlimatic. Why is the second chorus just a gif qhen we have the scenes of the cult girls dancing? Also, the bridge/last chorus are cut better but the fact it's just the same footage from verse n1 is not making anything better. The underwater girls are unneccecary and unfitting. I just ask myself why Lana re-used 4 water scenes again and again in MTWBT when there are so many. The live performances were great! HM was better than the BBC one, the West Coast ome was wonderful and made me even more mad about the fact we could have this in HQ without screaming twinks if she would have moved her ass to the Letterman show during UV. And I am so here for her auburn hair! The black hair doesn't suit her either way.
