Body Electric at the Itunes Festival. So emotional and touching, she really sounds like a mermaid singing a haunting song. The "Rock" version of Body Electric as performed in Frankfurt. I love this live version of the song and the Frankfurt performance of it was flawless. Heart Shaped Box Cover, performed in Copenhagen. Great cover and great performance! Carmen performed in Luxemburg. I attended this concert and it was sooo magical. Cola as performed at he Bravalla Festival. This performance feautures the perfect mood for this song. There are a lot of other breathtaking performances, like kind of everything from the Jazz Cafe performance, multiple Blue Jeans and Million Dollar Man performances etc. but I think these are my 5 favs.

Anyone else preordered on Amazon? I am still waiting to get "froot" -.-
-
I mqinly just wondered how the f*ck this band ended up in the Alternative category ... Not really alternative music in my opinion. It's like putting Taylor Swift in "Best Rock Album" or Eminem in "Best Male Act".

You are right, but I think it is a difference if you use a homophobic slur, but are not a homophobe, or if you continiously promote homophobic ideas. But whatever, this isn't the issue of this thread.

Well, I agree with you with almost everything you said, except those two marked statements. If I preorder the thing, I want to get the promised promosingle. And the shorter version really cripples the song. and i mean ... it's the title song. It should get some more love.

I preordered on her Amazon link. But I didn't got "froot"

Where has the pre-prechorus gone :op PLS TELL ME IT'S JUST BECAUSE THE MUSIC VIDEO FEATURES A RADIO MIX OF THE SINGLE!
-
So you get this if you preorder the Deluxe (or the Vinyl Set) in any of her official Marinastores? Or is it limited to the UK/US

a racist, mysoginist, homophobe guy kisding the mirror whenever he's alone. Yeah really ">". I don't really care about the line tho, I don't think Lana is offended or anything. There were enough stupid songs about her already. apart from this Nonaminem always dropped names in order to stay relevant. Rude and stupid, but so immature it's not worth to mention.

The Cover would look stunning if she wouldn't have used the FROOT single font. It doesn't match the beautiful handwritten "Marina And The Diamonds" and kind of looks like it doesn't belong on the picture at all ...

On Our Way and Driving In Cars With Boys. Both are good songs, but they have nothing on Kinda Outta Luck and You Can Be The Boss.

On 12/12 we'll finally get Froot on Itunes

I'm not really an Azealia fan, not because I think she's bad or anything, but it#s juts not my kind of genre. However, I like how her album has some kind of lounge-y feeling at some point and isn't just flat female rap-stuff like Nicky or Uggy. Wouldn't have expected this. For example I really like Miss Camaraderie, JSK and Desperado and there are other songs that may grow on me, like Wallace, Luxury and Nude Beach A Go Go. I even may get the CD at some point. Seems to be a decent record to listen to when you are driving at night.

Caro Emerald The Lipstick On His Collar Doesn't Seem To Match Mine / You Don't Love Me / Black Valentine/ I Know That He's Mine So, I think Caro Emerald songs are just perfect for Lana, since Caro aims for a retro-style, which would easily fit Lana aswell. TLOHCDSTMM is a sad ballad about a woman who finds out her man is cheating on her. Lyrically and sonically, this just screams Lana. You Don't love me is a bit more upbeat, but I think it would still not be out of place if Lana covered it. It has a very cinematic and dramatic feeling and the lyrics about a woman, who is in love with a man who is not really interested in her is also Lana-suitable. Black Valentine ismore like a nice, romantic and semi-dark lovesong, which is not focussed on lyrics that much, but more on the feeling it is supposed to create. I could really see Lana doing this songs in a way similar to her Blue Velvet / The Other Woman covers. And "I Know That He's Mine" would both fit her Shades Of Cool persona and her musical style. Take a listen, even if you may not share my opinion, Caro might be interesting for you if you like Lana's "Vintage Beauty Queen" persona (ignore the brain-dead underwear commercial video)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncbFiXUYFUM Amanda Jenssen - Ghost Another retro-esque song with freak-show-ish darkness (Jenssens song Carnival was used in the AHS FS trailers btw). The lyrics, similar to CW, are about what Lana would call "virulent love" and becoming distanced with a "bad boyfriedn". Could imagine Lana doing this in a Gods&Monsters - ish way. the bird and the bee - Diamond Dave Another song which is way more upbeat, but would perfectly fit Lana. It also has this retro-cinematic pop vibe and the lyrics about the girl and her love for an older musician (which serves as a metaphor for a tribute to Van Halen singer David Lee Roth) are fitting and sound good. The whole thing has some kind of Queen Of Disaster - vibe. Faye Richmonde - My Pussy Belongs To Daddy Ok, I know she wouldn't do it, but the lyrics and the vintage sound ... I just would love to hear her performing it

Create an Unreleased Lana Album/Playlist
Thunder Revenant replied to PrettyBaby's topic in Lana Thoughts
I already posted my unreleased-playlists, so here is the one featuring her official released songs Vulgar Darling Cola Blue Jeans National Anthem West Coast Florida Kilos Million Dollar Man Gods & Monsters Shades Of Cool Yayo Burning Desire (on my Itunes) / Ultraviolence (on my Spotify) Lolita Pretty When You Cry Body Electric Money Power Glory Without You Fucked My Way Up To The Top The playlist is like ashort compilation of my favourite Lana songs (well, at least most of them. Ride, Diet Mountain Dew, Carmen and Brooklyn Baby are missing, but they just didn't fit into the playlist) and unlike my unreleased playlists, it's not really build around the titel song, I just liked the phrase (how Tropico of me btw). I tried to include my favourite "transitions" with this playlist, like the one from Cola t Blue Jeans to National Anthem or the one from West Coast to Florida Kilos to Million Dollar Man or Lolita to Pretty When You Cry, I also pursued he ideo of having FMWUTTT as the closer track and Cola as the opening. -
New - Remix video for Once Upon A Dream
Thunder Revenant replied to howiet1971's topic in Latest News
The remix itself is quite nice but .. well yeah, not what you usually expect when a video is announced. -
When was "HAPPY" confirmed to happen?

What would you change about Lana's albums/eras?
Thunder Revenant replied to GodBlessMe's topic in Lana Thoughts
Ok, I know some of you guys will hate me for this, but this is how I would change Ultraviolence: So now the reason why I'd change it like this: I also tried out this song order as an Itunes playlist and it sounds very good to me.
