Does Jack not give you holidays off :/ Billie isn't my favourite out there, obvs, but she's doing something a lot of people apparently respond to. Clairo was def a plant, or something close to it, but she didn't have the necessary qualities to see it through. Billie's doing something interesting that might not be in your age range. Lana's current themes aren't in a lot of people's age range either. I think you're way too invested. Tell Jackoff i say hey.

Ik, I'm normally kind of w/e about it but it bums me out. Those of us who don't praise her laziness get told we want her to be the BTD gangster nancy cigarette tropico queen, as though honeymoon wasn't objectively beautiful, in terms of music and aesthetics :/ Like she's reading her own damn song lyrics from a phone in her own concert... she's stopping concerts to look for her f-cking vape... and I'm supposed to be charmed? Or find her relatable? Like fair enough if it's not right for me to expect more in terms of song lyrics, production, etc. but it's so incredibly disingenuous when people try to say that she's not lazy or entitled at all lmao. She's got all the time in the world to relearn lyrics she wrote, or make a video that makes sense lmao like... not impressed. And then she has the audacity to tweet the water clip from the end of freak and say she wishes she still made beautiful art for the sake of it. Who tf is stopping her.

I really don't have to be grateful for this lmao One of the top comments on the video is trying to make out like the people who find it dull are locals who only know summertime sadness, as if one of her most famous mvs isn't mentioned in every goddamn interview and article, and isn't also homemade. The difference between... this... and video games (and her lizzy vids for that matter) is the footage for vg fits the music, both in terms of timing, theme, and emotion. This doesn't at all. Watch the kill kill video and then watch the bartender segment. This is legit so lazy, and is2g this is the only big fanbase for a musician in which we're grateful for the absolute stalest crumbs and you're told you're not a "real fan" if you expect a drop of effort to be put into things like music vids lmao.

woke... Personally I'm not 'bitter' about the bad reviews. I'm pissed off that critics and publications are trying to make it seem as though they supported her all along when in reality they judged her (with heavy misogynistic under/overtones... seriously, the way she was treated for years could be a whole case study for 15 different strands of misogyny lol), then realised she wasn't going away and decided to try and find the good in it so they wouldn't lose their own reputations after they tried to halt her career in its tracks for years. Ultraviolence wasn't at the beginning of the decade and that's when she got some of her worst articles etc.

The concept of her lyrics being 'much more mature' kind of confuses me. I get it for songs like hope and mac, but it's presented as her older songs just being lists of things or phrases repeated, while NFR has narratives and messages, etc. You can see narratives in songs as far back as AKA imo. I think people mistake dropping personas for immaturity tbh. There's nothing immature about ultraviolence's writing, for example (in the messages of her songs, before anyone quotes saying 'sad girl sad girl blah blah blah'). There's nothing immature about saying that you've slept with people to gain your current position, for example. I think a big thing with critics saying that her writing is good this time has to do with the more subdued music and messages being more palatable (and retroactively approving of her older work). Idk. I feel like with NFR people see what they want to see much more.

If you find a website that lets you convert mp3 to mp4 you can upload it to youtube! I think i used this https://www.oneimagevideo.com/ when making this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIheyROc5aA edit: when putting the mp3 into a video with the image I mean

Actually I haven't been on the site much, I kind of dropped off a few weeks after NFR was released. So from the perspective of someone coming back and looking over threads again, you literally haven't changed at all from the condescending point of view of someone who's stanning an album so hard that they take it personally when other people don't. If you don't want to see people talking about Jackoff's production (why you take it so personally is beyond me) maybe don't hang around on a thread dedicated to an album that he produced. Also please look at your post again. You literally fit in with everything you're complaining about lol. Anyway. One thing I've noticed about this album is it's really easy to sing along lmao. As someone with no musical training or particular talent in regards to vocals, for her other albums if I'm listening and singing along I'll sometimes have to change the pitch, or miss out a few of the highs or lows. For this one though, I had it in the background while I was copying something out and realised that there was no strain to hit pretty much every note. I really wish she'd wean off the inhalants.

Glad to see you're still hanging around and highly overestimating the impact your repetitive posts have on other people, Jared. It's a bit concerning that you're so pissy over people not thinking that the album is her absolute best. I said it before the album came out, and I'll say it again (and many other people have said it, too)- critics shouldn't be lauded as the most important when it comes to opinions about Lana. I'm glad she's not getting dragged through the mud like she had been for most of this decade, but Honeymoon was my favourite album when NFR came out. It still is. And it's still way, way, way too soon to figure out how NFR will sit in her discography and general journey as an artist. It's still too early to say that for LfL in my opinion, but I have a feeling they're much more similar than some here would like to believe.

because she's being paid to be his gf / there's an arrangement that involves money, so even if they're actually into each other- which they could very well be- she'd still be mentioning him often to stick with a contract / informal agreement / w/e, whereas her previous relationships were natural and without financial incentive no clue. If we're being specific about Chase, then probably because their relationship was rocky. But she didn't mention her other BFs either.

Abu Dhabi, UAE @ F1 After Race Concert - November 30th, 2019
WilshireBoulevard replied to allseeing's topic in 2019 NFR Tour
I feel like she agrees to do tours just before (like a couple of months) an album is released when she's probably feeling energetic and in a creative upswing, and then by the time the tour comes around she's already defeated from the interviews, photoshoots, videos, reading reviews, etc. I hope she gets rest for the 2020 dates. On a more positive note, I'm so happy for all of the fans that got to see her for the first time
