Were the videos with subtitles or could you understand what they were saying? I'm not discounting you, but it's important to remember that bad faith actors get kicks from spreading yellow peril ideas. Even mainstream media often publishes outlandish things as facts, citing websites / articles that don't source their information. Also kind of off-topic but for any Americans, is the flu vaccination free there?

Oh same, I think it's entirely natural to be worried about it when it's on the news so much. It's reminding me of when swine flu was a thing and churches stopped having communal wine and handshaking (at least where I live). People always react more to new things - it's not like other diseases can't be spread those ways, but with the news and social media just stirring up trouble and fear-mongering, it's natural to be worried I hope you don't get too down about it though!

Paranoia and sinophobia tbh. So much surrounding this is, e.g. that it started because Chinese people eat """crazy""" food. The virus isn't that deadly. Way less deadly than sars. The symptoms are pretty much what you get if you get the flu or a bad cold, and most of the people who have died from it are elderly (and would have a high chance of dying from the flu / a cold). I think the most important things to do are a) use it as a reminder to keep good hygiene, especially around babies / the elderly, and b) use it as an opportunity to educate yourself on sinophobia and how outbreaks like this become racialised (think ebola), and keep your friends and relatives in check if they show those sentiments. There are really horrific stories about how asian people were treated with the outbreak of sars.

1) the golden ratio is way more ancient than the renaissance i- 2) imagine being so ignorant as to think that beauty is defined solely by its adherence to the golden ratio. You have a lot to learn. Both about the philosophy of beauty and maths. 3) it's seriously pathetic that you're still trying to defend that stupid post you made months ago.

She shoulda brought the tree she fell out of that gave her cracked ribs and a breathy voice too, and herself as a baby because she was singing full songs before she could talk
