people are paying high amounts for these concert tickets lmao, and it's to experience a good concert, not for the pleasure of being in the same city as Lana. People are allowed to complain when it's clearly not worth the money.

But she doesn't know that she meant that to you. Lana is a cis and presumably straight woman. That's how she views the world. When she looks at her music and thinks about how people would connect to it, she's going to be seeing it through the lens of a straight cis woman. Personally my concern would be the fact she publicly attends a church that doesn't make their stance on LGBT people public knowledge- aka we can expect the worse. But- to give an example of something I saw someone write on this site- her songs and videos being "heteronormative" is simply untrue, as her songs and videos are just how she experiences or views the world as a straight and cis woman. There are plenty of artists that are LGBT themselves, or more explicitly acknowledge them, but I'm not too concerned about Lana viewing her music as relatable to girls.

Don't get a suitcase all-in-one record player, they'll destroy the record. Look at some of sony's record players- the cheapest ones are more expensive than $40 suitcase ones (like $110?), but they have a dust cover, won't ruin your record, and with a speaker you can also get from sony for like $30, you have a good-quality set-up that'll last you for some time and, because it needs repeating, won't ruin your record. It's better to save up for a while than ruin them, esp when they cost like $30 per vinyl and some are limited like the UO one lol i'm aware this soiunds like a sony ad but it's what I'm planning on getting

I wish she had came for one of the ugly male reviewers that wrote much shorter and obviously more hateful articles than Ann Powers with all of her boring friends coming out to defend her. Both that article and the more hateful ones avoid talking about the actual music as much as possible (which... why be a music reviewer... if you'd rather be an stanford-reject celebrity reviewer) but Power's 'review' was much more meandering and not as misogynistic. I hate that it's being framed like she's a child- we all know she's a sucker for positive attention, but who isn't? But she should have thrown a different reviewer under the spotlight.

When the album was first released and I was listening to it all the way through I heard MAC for the first time in weeks and started crying because of the nostalgia for last year too I think one of the special things about Lana's music is how deeply you can connect to it. Some of my favourite songs from other artists are really special for me, but in a 'oh I used to this when I was sad' way, not a specific memory with a thousand emotions tied up into it that's triggered by hearing the song

It makes me sad that I just can't justify buying any of these to myself like the designs are so pretty but $80 dollars for a hoodie that was printed instead of embroidered? That can't be washed without wrecking the design. And that's not to mention the shipping costs... shipping the UO exclusive directly to the UK was $70 dollars including the vinyl itself.
