I can't abide by that outfit sry2say. She just doesn't have the best fashion sense in the world. It's not the worst thing in the world, and it doesn't make her any lesser or whatever. She looks great when she's styled and otherwise either dresses in a way that is not very flattering or really plainly (which is fine. Her cutest looks everyday looks, to me, are the ones where she is very American casual.)
I like her hair tho

The song is a single, and the poem serves as a pretentious monologue for the video/interlude on the album?

But those people wouldn't know who she is without the label push so what is this logic?
Lana is a p o p s t a r. And one who hates promoting herself at that. She needs a record label. Without the label she'd still just be Lizzy Grant with her home made youtube videos and you probably would have never heard of her at all. Also it's kind of gross to call everyone behind the del rey curtain "nothing". Talent only takes you but so far. So many people are talented. Record labels are evil and all that in an abstract way, but don't fool yourself into thinking that someone isn't helping to package what you're consuming. Lana wanted to be famous. She doesn't see mainstream popularity as a hindrance to her creative ability, so I don't see why it seems to stress you out so much tbh..
On the internet. In real life, I'd reverse that, and then make half of the females..uh..just regular 15-32 year old women. (Lana fans say this a lot. What does fake hipster even mean? Is there anything more hipster than trying to call out other people for being "fake" even though they like the same stuff you do,? )

Surprised she didn't say "oh I'm more interested in our intergalactic possibilities, you know, SpaceX and Tesla"

these endless discussions about BTD / UV and success that I also love to take part in
It's simple: UV did have a different sound, the decline in sales was something she could not avoid, but at least she stepped up her game in terms of music. Everything else however was a mess. From the artwork, to the videos, the interviews, the horrible Glasto performance...Like, girl...do not step out when you're not ready.
But actually, the biggest difference between Lana then and Lana now is that she was driven, interested in her visuals, determined. She wanted to create something strong on all levels and hands down: she would not have this fanbase if she was not the one she used to be. All this speculation that she is just depressed, sad, anxious, and whatnot I don't care. Even low budget artists have better and more entertaining visuals than her.
I love this woman, but hands down: she lacks focus and determination. And you simply need to have these things to succeed.
And before this grahamguy starts posting about Dylan and co. Cut that BS. That was like 50 years ago.
