a lot of people assume lana is lazy.. the truth is, she's just lana. She may have some star qualities while she's on stage.. but i think the only time she really wants to be a "celebrity" is when she is on stage. She doesn't want to take it home with her. She doesn't want to go crazy promoting her music. She doesn't want to go on tv. She doesn't want to do interviews. She wants to live her life and make music as her day job in a way.. which sort of sucks for us as fans, but in a way its admirable, its why she's so down to earth. 

Indeed this is a great Lana interview. Because of the fact that she was able to express herself without feeling like every question being asked is a condescending or demeaning one. Or a journalist purposely placing an emphasis on certain things because they either want to make her look crazy or dumb. When in fact shes a real intelligent and eccentric artist that can be understood if you allow her to express herself without taking things out of context. Its clear that Lana is a guarded person who only somewhat open up to those shes comfortable with. And even then she's still in state of lock down because shes wants to keep parts of her life under control. But yea, all in all she does her best interviews with people she knows well & that shes comfortable with.

Wow, that's rude. She used to be very skinny but since she has gained weight she looks healthy, and her face looks more beautiful.
Frankly, you're not in the position to criticize about a woman's weight. It's her choice, and as long as she feels comfortable with her looks, you should keep your mouth shut

but the real q is whether or not she will pronounce Salvatore as Salvatore (a la Damon + Stefan) or Salvatori (a la Backfire) ?

She really needs to promote. A lot fans have been saying this but nothing has happened.
 
We can only wish and dream that she would one day dress "well" again (glamorously and actually cares of how she looks instead of dressing like a soccer mom every time there's a new pic of her).
 
Go on stage and perform her new songs and talk passionately about it on various televised programs. Do funny skits on live TV plus do cameos in various TV shows. Go on an international promo campaign visiting various radio stations ACROSS the globe and give interviews about the album as well as do live radio performances.
 
Do a mini concert series all over the GLOBE just for the launch of the album not full tour just mini concerts. Have a listening party where fans are invited to listen to the album in advance before release date across the globe to regenerate more hype.
 
This is how most artists launch their album. Lana just have a YouTube upload and call it a day.

She has material to release a teaser trailer. I mean the footage she shot during the album shoot and she's used for Terrence Loves You. She has the Honeymoon video (even if it's just the clips she posted, it's not that hard to plug her phone and record new ones on her VHS app ). I don't know what she's doing but Lana sis... The album is out in two weeks. Two magazine covers are cute but that's not enough as promotion (and I'm not really here for a lame ass interview by James Franco TBH) and most important - not enough for the fans. That's the most important thing for me at least, so many things that could've been done instead of TV promotion or whatever and... Nope. Nothing. At least they are sponsoring her on Instagram.
 
I'd expect MTBWT to be kinda the it song from the album. Not a hit or anything but something like National Anthem with a very appealing video but I don't wanna get myself hyped so I'm gonna pretend the song sounds like Delete it fat For the Summer.

Well, to tell the truth, UV did way, waaay better on pre-orders than HM right now.
 
That happend because at least the promo singles arrived back-to-back and she still had the hype from BTD. Now, things are almost dead. That she went No.1 with HM for 2 or 3 days on pre.-orders is not a big thing. 
I just wish sometimes she would address these things like not promoting. I mean, not for the sake of the success, but why is she not showcasing her material and her talent. I mean, it is too good to go down unnoticed while trash gets promoted 24 / 7 and we all are misfortuned to witness it. I am sure, we as fans would take any appereance and any interview with pleasure. 
 
But it's pointless to even discuss this, I guess. She has made her choices. We can just either enjoy what we get or leave. 

Am I the only one who thinks that when Lana dyes her hair dark that she has moved on to a not so good place in her life? Yes? No? I know, quite a reach.
 
But so far, she really needs to step her game up with this album. HBTB is great, TLY is pretty, HM is pretty but a bit jarring. MTWBT will probably disappoint because everybody has such high expectations for it.
 
Idk, when I heard West Coast, Shades Of Cool and Brooklyn Baby for the first time, I thought they were career-highlights. These songs so far are far from it. They are all nice and I will buy the album, but idk.
 
You can say that she saves the best when the album drops, but that would be so NOT her. And there is no build-up, no teasing, nothing to get me excited and we all know, she will vanish after the release.

The sultry songstress sat down with friend James Franco for V Magazine's fall issue to talk about her new album, the criticisms she faces and, of course, that infamous "anti-feminist" quote. 
 
""The luxury we have as a younger generation is being able to figure out where we want to go from here, which is why I’ve said things like, 'I don’t focus on feminism, I focus on the future,'" she told Franco. "It’s not to say that there’s not more to do in that area.
