honestly if you're genuinely getting mad at her for being anti-abortion in 2012, you seriously need to go outside, that was 13 YEARS AGO, and she was a young teenager, who also happened to grow up in the conservative south, it really shouldn't come as any surprise that she might've held such beliefs when she was younger, it's quite obvious that she doesn't feel that way anymore, ridiculing someone for what they said/believed over a decade ago, especially when they were children, is so incredibly unfair, we should've realized that by now
also, regarding the incest stuff, i honestly don't really care, is it weird, yes! but this is the same woman who made an album telling a story about a vulnerable young girl getting kidnapped, pimped out, murdered, and cannibalized, she has an EP titled "inbred", on her tumblr she posted a short story involving someone getting a wound fucked, her work is often very dark and touches on complex, convoluted, taboo subjects, she clearly isn't afraid to confront it, and to express it in her work, so why is it even so surprising to see her wear some weird "legalize incest" shirt? if anything i think it's a bit try-hard
also, i do see that we're trying to move away from talking about this, but i just wanted to share my thoughts

I grew up in hillbilly central (alabama) as a kid and when I tell you everyone in my family was super homophobic, misogynistic, etc. I grew up with the mentality that gay people were some sort of disease. My parents were super anti abortion as was I because that’s all i ever knew. But with age I realized that mentality is complete bullshit and i’ve matured from that. The fact that people nowadays think that you cant grow from your shitty past is just crazy to me. Hayden literally reflects in her music that she grew up in a shitty place. If you genuinely think she’s still anti abortion and whatnot then I’m gonna have to laugh in your face. Please, some of you need to grow up.

To be fair I wasn’t dismissing women’s rights, I was dismissing the opinion of a child who was raised in the south in a Christian household. I too was raised hella Christian and I believed those same things at that age. It does not make me a bad person. It makes me a person who grew and learned. Thats the point of life.

She has a story highlight titled resources still available on her insta. I can't believe some people are being judgmental of a literal child who was raised in a religious family for not being in favor of abortion.

perhaps a reality check will help? 14 year olds, or quite literally anyone at any age, believe in certain stuff then grow up and change their stances on them
not rocket science

also I’m not even into ethel but isn’t her whole thing like growing up in the south where it’s notoriously conservative in a town that’s population zero
I wouldn’t expect a child to branch out of the ideologies that the adults surrounding them carry
