if we get a tour for this album (unlikely, i know ) i'd absolutely LOVE it if she could bring the lovely backup singers that we hear on Thunder, Summertime Gershwin Version, etc with her so they can intermittently perform with Lana throughout the show and really beef up a few of the songs imagine hearing LMLYLAW performed the way it was on that TV performance (Jimmy Fallon?? i think??) but like IN THE FLESH, i think i'd collapse not my fav song at all but that version is truly something special. of course the classic songs would and should remain untouched - Video Games, Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Summertime Sadness, etc - but just for a few songs it'd be so nice to hear those ladies adding some richness and depth to the performance!

honestly i feel like this is such an unpopular opinion but i really dont want the album to leak, we're SO close, wouldn't it be better just to hear it in 9 days as the artist intended? sure if we were months away then by all means leak that shit but we're literally in single digits now just over a week! and honestly i feel like it'd be such a special experience for us all to be able to enjoy it on release day together, whether on streaming services or on vinyl, cd, cassette, however we wanna listen to it in fullllll beautiful quality, not using some site like [redacted] or having to download any shady files or whatever! and everyone can do their little release day rituals too! it'd just be so much better. im manifesting a smooth rollout personally, sorry edit: leak Crazy For You tho

for me, melancholy is separated from sadness by a kind of... wistfulness? a sort of weird sad magic feeling. lana has many straight up depressing songs - Is This Happiness, Hope, Beautiful People demo, etc - but she is an absolute master when it comes to melancholy! to me her most melancholic songs are: Oh Say Can You See, Yayo (both AKA and Paradise versions!), Pawn Shop Blues, Bel Air (!!!), and probably a few others i can't think of rn!! controversial opinion: i actually think Tulsa Jesus Freak is super melancholic

one of my fav songs ever, Secret Door by Arctic Monkeys, has a *little bit* of a West Coast vibe bc of the tempo switch, but its more of a cute / romantic vibe than a cool and sexy vibe like WC has! from the same album is Dance Little Liar, not quite the same as its mostly downtempo / doesn't have the cool beat switch up, but this song always reminded me of West Coast a bit!

im not usually much of a ~synesthesia~ type gal but with Thunder i get such intense pale yellow vibes?? kinda like this. and Living Legend, what i remember of it, is suuuuuper deep blue like this. not that anyone asked but what kind of colours do you guys get from the songs we've already heard??

RIGHT BOO i love her but its pretty obvious that she absolutely gives a fuck! and that's okay - i would be FUCKED UP if i was in her shoes my unpopular opinion, on a connected note: sometimes my problem with lana is that she seems unable to distinguish valid criticism from unnecessary hate. sometimes she receives really warranted backlash or criticism for stuff, but because she had so much cruelty and hate throughout the first few years of her career i think she can't tell the difference and she just lumps it all in together. i wish she'd see the nuance in things a little more
