West Coast vs Mariner's Apartment Complex

no but seriously when is Lana gonna collab with Yung Lean they follow each other on instagram plz that would be everything for me

idk if this is an unpopular opinion but i'd love for LDR9 to be a loungey, jazzy, slightly sleazy Ultraviolence-meets-AKA-meets-Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino by Arctic Monkeys-meets-my imagination type record. an album on the sonic vibe of Trash Magic, Sad Girl, Kill Kill, For K Part 2, Heavy Hitter, Pin Up Galore....... that's my dream

give up is such a cute bombastic track!! and when she would do the vogue remix to it.... that's history right there
-
i dont mean this in a negative way at all bc i really like caprisongs and im a huge twigs fan, but its so funny to me when i look back on the era of like LP1 (i was massively stanning her at that point) and how back then on social media and at live shows the fanbase would always talk about how Give Up kind of sucked but it was okay cause that was her obvious "radio song" from that album and how "we all know she's better than that"... i wonder what those same fans think of songs like Jealousy, Tears In The Club and Papi Bones if i could go back in time and show them caprisongs i think they would have a heart attack omg but it would be so funny anyway stream ride the dragon!!!!

Make your own expanded/extended version of a LDR album
daphnedinkley replied to SalvaWHORE's topic in Lana Thoughts
I've often reimagined and combined Lana albums in my mind! I'm not sure if it's cheating to use already tracks from other eras / albums and also to remove certain songs, but I do have this one playlist that I like to listen to as a kind of expanded Honeymoon. Honeymoon Expanded 1. Thirteen Beaches 2. American 3. Honeymoon 4. Cherry 5. Music To Watch Boys To 6. Summer Bummer 7. High By The Beach 8. Freak 9. Art Deco 10. Salvatore 11. Burnt Norton Interlude 12. God Knows I Tried 13. Terrence Loves You 14. 24 Hours 15. White Mustang 16. The Blackest Day 17. Young and Beautiful I kinda like to think this "album" both begins and ends with anxiety - the strife of 13 Beaches opening and the uncertainty of Young and Beautiful closing - and in between it tells the story of a relationship kinda falling apart, whether that's the narrator's relationship with a lover or with fame. It goes from the cutesy fun stuff of songs like American and Summer Bummer to the real tragedy of songs like God Knows I Tried and The Blackest Day, with a lil White Mustang thrown in there for levity -
lets not sleep on my angel JP new EP 'JP5000' is out now and its great!! its v short and all in the same sonic ballpark but its a real nice little project from her, she's sooo consistent with how she delivers great music also the music video for 'Critiqua' is great, she is everythinggggg

just dropping in to say that for some reason i decided to buy tickets to Charli's show in Manchester even tho im not a huge fan, idk something just compelled me to do it i feel like she's one of those artists you just HAVE to see live at least once, her shows look like so much fun!! so im looking forward to it and wanted to share
-
also Dayglo Reflection is so phenomenal, although it’s technically not a Lana song it’s really one of the most captivating songs i’ve ever heard and her vocals are amazinggggg

Tomorrow Never Came vs More Mountains

I desperately want Lana to switch up her setlists during her shows - which I know everyone here agrees with! - but the unpopular side of this opinion is that I still believe she should play Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Video Games and Summertime Sadness at her shows, it would honestly be crazy not to. those songs are such Lana classics so it would be a shame to lose them!! National Anthem can go tho
-
honestly this is my opinion too i love her to death and i really loved Blue Banisters (the entire album!) but we simply cannot go on with more of the same!! thinking about the huge jump from BTD to Ultraviolence, then from Ultraviolence a return to lush cinematic sounds on Honeymoon, then to something more pop-oriented with LFL.... its crazy to think we would ever expect the unexpected

Lana songs that'd fit in other albums:
daphnedinkley replied to Make me your Dream Life's topic in Lana Thoughts
I've always dreamt of an alternative reality where For K Part 2 comes immediately after West Coast in the Ultraviolence tracklist -
my current ranking of one fav song per album is as follows! Sirens: Bad Disease AKA: For K, Part 2 Born To Die: Video Games Paradise: Bel Air Ultraviolence: West Coast Honeymoon: Art Deco Lust For Life: Summer Bummer Norman Fucking Rockwell!: The Greatest Chemtrails Over The Country Club: Wild At Heart Blue Banisters: Dealer im so basic
