it's prerecorded, she's not performing live in that clip just to throw my two cents in, personally i think the BB snippet video is from a scrapped TJF video that was filmed the same day that performance was! -

what a beautiful day still hoping for Dealer on the album tho!! -
as someone who loves all three songs - i highly encourage and support anybody who doesn't enjoy them to share their opinions! i think it's good to hear other people's thoughts even if they're different from mine! i think it's interesting seeing different perspectives and gauging the fanbase's reaction! i think it's valid that we all react differently!

its okay for someone to feel that the BLM lyric is a little offputting or cringe, it doesn't mean they're dragging lana or they're saying she's a bad person or they're saying that the records are bad or anything like that.... the people stressing over people mentioning it are doing more than the people that mention it in the first place

yea this is what i got too!

very this... i have a horrible relationship with my sister (she was v abusive) and i only ever refer to her as "my nephew's mum" so that part got me too (not implying her relationship with her mother is anywhere near that bad of course!!)

dont drag me but it is kinda funny her namedropping BLM in a song about a cop fsjhdfjl

part of me feels that lana maybe didn't announce these officially yet bc she's probably quite nervous... these songs are so vulnerable and honest and, as Eclipse said, confirming quite a bit of speculation about her, including her tumultuous relationship with her mother, her ~daddy issues~, that kind of thing. i hope she knows how much we love the records though, and how much her vulnerability means to so many people <3

absolutely cannot believe i'm about to defend these god awful single artworks / covers BUT.... little theory incoming .... does anyone else feel like maybe the artworks intentionally progress in rawness and 'ugliness' according to how revealing the songs they belong to are? for example, Blue Banisters is def a personal song but it's fairly "happy" with a sweet message. i remember when we all speculated whether or not the bruised look on her chest was intentional, i for one just thought it was a symptom of the filter she was using - but now, with the other artworks there, i can see it's intentional. still, it's not overly obvious, her face looks pretty and "normal", that kinda thing. then we have Wildflower Wildfire: there are intensely obvious bruises on her chest and neck area, her face is distorted in a subtle uncanny valley type way. similarly the lyrics of the song take on a slightly darker theme and they're more revealing than the lyrics of Blue Banisters. finally, Text Book is the most revealing and arguably upsetting song of all, and with it comes an artwork with amped up darkness and ugliness - her face is more distorted, her bruises are darker and more numerous. it's giving a lil bit of FKA Twigs x Jesse Kanda vibes: sorry if someone said this already!! im at work rn and keeping up with all the madness is proving difficult!!
