i'm having the worst week of my life, so to treat myself i just put in my order for Ennio Morricone - Passion on 2xLP from my local record store! i'm super into his work. look at this pretty little thing: and the description of this release just makes me even more excited to pick it up when i can: so pumped! i do hope to eventually get the other Ennio Morricone theme releases, but for now this'll do to cheer me up! i'm honestly not sure i'm gonna pick anything up for RSD... i really can't afford it although i never got Chromatica on vinyl and that's my second fave Gaga album, so hmmm......

I like this thread idea! im going thru a really tough time mentally at the moment, so honestly Wildfire Wildflower (or is it Wildflower Wildfire? I always forget ) is like.... a lifeline for me. I, too, am currently living on sheer willpower miss Lanz it's perfect for this state of mind I'm in because it's really empowered and bold but it's not annoyingly chirpy or optimistic, just feels like breathing fresh air into my lungs. also, to add to my weird depressed state of mind, I'm going thru some bullshit where I'm feeling both 1) betrayed and 2) kind of like a crazy woman bc my mental illnesses are acting up, so weirdly Big Eyes and I Can Fly are really helping me through this, they're literally on repeat for 80% of my day! I can't even tell you how much this particular part of I Can Fly resonates with me: like.... yes girl.... you put it into words also when I'm getting ready for work and just want something easy, I'm really enjoying Text Book, When The World Was At War We Kept Dancing, The Good Life (not exactly an easygoing song but idk Im just vibing with it lately) and Brooklyn Baby. sorry this ended up so personal LOL im so annoying everybody please mass ignore lanaboards user daphnedinkley

Happy Pride Month all my LB besties!! As a queer woman I used to worry so much about the judgement coming from within the community and outside of it. It's a tale as old as time really - too "gay" for the straight kids, too "straight" for the gay kids! Sometimes that sneaking feeling is still there - I can sometimes see the judgemental looks when I'm in a queer space and some people, for whatever reason, seem to assume I'm straight. Nowadays I refuse to let it get to me. Nobody can tell me what my sexual or romantic identity is! I'm very happy with the term 'queer' - I embrace, love and am attracted to all identities, and I always have been. It's so laughable to me that people try and tell me I'm straight when one of my earliest memories was falling in love with Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider films I still struggle on the inside sometimes. Dating other girls still feels incredibly tricky for me because of this hetero-normative world I was raised in - I'm not always so sure how to go about it, and anyone that's not a stupid, predictable man just makes me so NERVOUS! But I know I'll get there and it'll get easier, I just have to keep exploring what feels the most comfortable for me! I can't wait for a wonderful month of being loud, proud and queer!
