  4. i love the new stuff but i do agree with you - patience is absolutely a virtue and i worry lana's gonna suffer some serious burn out! i'd love a well thought out, properly planned era from her.
  5. oh this RULES! thank you so much this is awesome! <3 im not sure if it's on the playlist and i missed it but maybe you could add Gymnopedie 3 by Erik Satie! edited to add: god there's some bangers on this playlist, don't our girl have great taste?

  8. omg i forgot to tell you guys i also had a dream about a new lana song i don't remember much of it but it went something like "So I never say goodnight I just say 'meet you in my dreams' By the lilac running river [something something something i can't remember lol] ecstasy" and it had no drums it was really ambient and weird omg i hope this is a sign
  9. she's managed to do the impossible - seemingly telling us everything while also telling us kinda nothing! she's maintained this mystery but also said things to the entire world that you wouldn't even catch yourself saying to your besties at a dinner party. i think lana's greatest skill is this kind of self-mythologising; she somehow has a whole canon of things (K, double homicide, her parents, boarding school, drugs, alcohol, cult leaders) we're all so intrigued by
  10. oooh yes! i took it more literally like she'd just been found wandering the beach (reminds me of The Ocean - "the ocean makes me cry" / "i'm in love with a dying man, i'm in love laying in the sand") and that's where she'd been found before being rushed to the hospital, although i like your interpretation better! though if we were to take the literal interpretation and do some hashtag Lanalysis, maybe a lot of things link back to this day for her? she's clearly a woman predisposed to mental health issues or depression, but maybe a breaking point for her was the day that she describes in Kill Kill / The Ocean, when she finds out she's gonna lose her lover and that she's "in love with a dying man", so she's laid in the sand until - as she describes in Wildflower Wildfire - she's taken into the hospital, sand still on her feet.
  11. when they said prolific, they weren't kidding, we thought that she was just a calendar kitten
  12. as much as im excited to hear BB..... bring me LDR9 expeditiously pls miss lana
  13. thanks babes! i listen to neither so that would explain why i didn't recognise it

  16. you're very much correct! aww... back when we thought ARTPOP was gonna be called Private In Public or Element Of Crime
  17. as much as i think that tracklist is 100% fake, i do think that someday there's a chance we'll get Yes To Heaven on an album. this album? maybe! im not sure. but lana clearly has quite an attachment and interest in that song, given that there were so many versions and it was even considered for the Honeymoon tracklist! who knows we'll see!

  19. unpopular opinion but i love this - i know a lot of people aren't used to bounce music so this is probably super weird to them lmao but personally that's my kinda scene so i get it and enjoy it, plus Big Freedia is a LEGEND! its kinda sad seeing people be so ignorant towards this genre and Big Freedia since both are such hugely important staple parts of gay culture, but each to their own i guesssssss. can't wait to hear the rest of the reworked album!
  20. okay so idk if this is just me, but on this part: i actually hear:
  21. hoping this doesn't come across harsh and/or selfish but.... stage fright, slightly uncomfortable, deer in the headlights, worried about how she sounds and performs Lana >>>> literally not giving a fuck, doing the bare minimum, forgetting she's even on stage Lana i don't wish anxiety on her whatsoever so this isn't 100% serious of course, but i miss when she actually cared about her performances even if it occasionally made her voice a little shaky it was still captivating to watch!
  22. very this!! i also feel like there's a level of thrill in knowing what familiar melodic structure is coming, but not knowing how it's gonna be filled. the second verse of I Can Fly Is really gorgeous for this reason: that final line is always such a gut punch to me, because even though those lyrics don't look like much written down, you just don't see it coming in the sweet and familiar melody that you're used to. you can excuse the simplicity because it had to fit into a certain structure - in fact the simplicity is what makes it so impactful! i hope she doesn't abandon this style entirely on Blue Banisters!
  23. amazing point! i really wonder if this was intentional, and maybe even lana's way of subtly acknowledging that how she's romanticised america in the past doesn't necessarily align with her current views
  24. I absolutely love the three singles we got, but I do hope that rest of the album doesn't take such a loose, freeform approach when it comes to melodies - in some parts of the singles it feels almost like Lana is lagging behind or jumping ahead in the lyrics, the vocal melodies aren't so tight, it reminds me in parts of when Lana falls behind in the Lust For Life Demo and she has to kinda 'catch up' with the instrumental lmao. (idk if that makes sense bc i am high on opiates right now but hopefully it does!) idk, the lack of vocal melodic structure is nice sometimes - real poetic songwriter vibes - but i do hope its not gone for good!! sometimes it just comes across sloppy
