  1. it'll never happen but these kind of vocals for COCC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdEYdfrJhlw
  2. just realized how jam packed nfr was with recycled lyrics i'll catch you on the flipside, your favorite liquor off the top shelf, changing like the weather, nothing gold can stay, topanga's hot tonight, in your car im a star, in my party dress i'm a fucking mess, turn the radio on, ect.
  3. as a latinx person this is idiotic. it's not like she's wearing traditional mexican garment that represents the culture the top button is very common gangster style but not limited to latinx
  4. i'm actually really hoping for the remainder of this pre-release that there won't be any singles or snippets, i think everyone can agree that norman's tracklist was very underwhelming as we had pretty much heard a little bit of every song or knew the titles before it was announced but listening to an album start to finish without having any idea what it's going to sound like is always the most exciting (i.e fiona apple)
  5. i swear every time someone makes a comment about lana's current writing whether they think it's too safe or watered down people think that means they want her to write another BTD/cocaine daddy "he hit me and it felt like a kiss" prostitute song

    Melanie Martinez

cry baby is very natural compared to k-12 and way more relatable which is what people who listen to artists like melanie want from her and that's why a lot of people don't like with artists put social commentary in their music, unless you're a die hard stan who just eats up everything she makes. the metaphors on cry baby were genius k-12 felt like she just collected a ton of school related words and put them into a rhyme generator

    Katy Perry

katy’s singles are always like this then her deep cuts are usually very emotional and dark i’m looking forward to those
  8. i agree i think BTD is her best lyrically because it was writing a story and creating a character and it was about literally everything she's experienced so far in her life, all her albums are written differently i think; born to die and ultraviolence were written like stories from start to finish about a relationship, paradise was how she felt as an artist being seen by other people cause she's made it now and she reflects on her life before fame (ride) and after it (gods & monsters), honeymoon focused a lot on production its a mood record, an ode to her love of jazz and music in general, lust for life was written about society, politics and the media, sharing her point of view on the state of the world and norman seems to be how she views herself(?) she writes about love and all these relationships but more in an introspective way where she's revealing her role and how she feels in these relationships rather than how she views the other person

she really threw a clown nose on and said thats enough circus theme for today this easily blows all her covers out of the water https://twitter.com/FAMEKILLED/status/1281648930762051584?s=20
  10. honeymoon is my fav lana album but it's delusion to say it's her strongest lyrically stranger than a stranger now it's time to eat soft ice cream god knows i... x40
  11. the thing is having a few songs with "fuck" in the title is not the kind of thing lana has to do to be risky, what @@Lemonade Tears said the industry is being dominated by hip hop which is a very vulgar and insensitive genre that never holds back. it feels cheap for her to add some edginess to everything by throwing fuck around when look how daring born to die is and how much it got people heated from the lyrics and themes alone, the only song with fuck in it is radio which is literally the safest song on the album theme wise. NFR is a safe album and that's fine that's what she chose to do this time around but she's capable of making something groundbreaking
  12. This!!! I fell in love with lana's music because of how cinematic and dramatic it was production really brings a lot of emotions and mood to a song that's one thing that makes NFR feel so lackluster, it's a nice record to listen to if you just wanna chill or clean your house but lyrically it was too safe and sonically is was watered down compared to pretty much everything else she's released. even honeymoon which has a lot of questionable and elementary lyrics makes up for it cause the whole album makes you feel like you're in a movie with how grand the production is
  13. giving us a death stare
  14. this is sending me i actually thoughts lana was hispanic for so long when i just listened to her and didn't know much about her as a person Liz Woolridge would be such a cool stage name it sounds very vintage perfect for lana's image during her debut
  15. she just got lip filler and didn't brush her hair and you're acting like she's transformed into some hideous beast, she literally looked beautiful in a tiktok she posted last week and she looks good all the time she just doesn't overdo it anymore like how she used to anyways enough of that
  16. why do people still expect 2012 baby face, beauty queen bouffant lana to be strutting down the streets of LA she's 35 years old can't she just live like a normal person and exist in society like everyone else
  17. she's in public too like so many celebrities try and appear casual outside to draw less attention to themselves and avoid paparazzi
  18. shes giving country bumpkin queen of the gas station epione clinic realness !! she does look happy and adorable tho
  19. her appearance from like 2012.. she's had her hair bleached and dyed dark back and forth for years and she lives in southern california where its very humid it's just realistic
