Night Mime should have absolutely been released ahh

She has so much better things to sing about that most of her released songs. I hope one day she won't feel so restrained by needing to make a theme for an album and stick to it no matter what. I guess After School was less restrained than Cry Baby and certainly K-12.
I know artists hate it and get really upset when their material leaks, and I bet I'd feel that way too. But Melanie's leaks have always shown me that she's much more than a singer who likes vintage children aesthetics and metaphors that seem too in your face. Of course some of her unreleased leaks are like that too, but some songs really surprise me.

the film premiere happened on sept 3rd and the album was  released sept 6th

Not to be rude or anything but I've seen many people (not only you, but your post was right here, so please don't take it personal bestie) saying this about Mel and many other singers (Lana, Gaga, etc). Guys, it's not that they lie to us. It's obvious there are reasons why projects are pushed back - or simply they're not ready for the date they estimate the records to be finished. Will we only wait till the day we create albums / films / documentaries / music videos / etc. of the same range as our faves, to understand that giving a release date that can't be met is not lying? Because it's not. Shit happens, and sometimes processes have to be slowed down / stopped / postponed. Let's not take it as if they are playing games with their audience, or as if they're lying. They're most likely wishing to give updates to their fans and sometimes they have to push plans back. It's not a big deal. In the end, Mel will deliver. It's not like she will be endlessly working on an album that will never come out.

You know songs like that, they are stories that people can identify with. Children were singing this song at graduations, at weddings, at funerals.. 

If Leche of The Sirens has THAT transition switch-up like Numbers... 

I mean it like a bridge/chorus switch up, I can definitely see it for Sirens

assuming she hasn't started filming yet, I'd say 2023... imo she should give us a release date when everything is already set instead of giving us hope like what she did to K-12
