  1. Lana Del Rey tag on Twitter. https://twitter.com/search?q="Lana Del Rey"&src=trend_click&vertical=trends
  2. Am I the only person who sees Crown of Thorns imagery in her outfit, or am I reaching?
  3. I had to get to work just as she was 100% confirmed, and it's been so much fun to catch up on the last couple of hours. What a star!
  4. Manifesting for the crossover fans (of which I might be the only one)
  5. I genuinely love how Lana is not afraid to get excited over shows/vlogs/other things..
  6. So true! I remember buying ones for Pearl Jam and Nirvana in the early 1990s, and it's kind of amazing that something like this would still exist so many years later. It also looks like they've put some effort into this one! (Back in the day, half of them were trash, and half were really good).
  7. Nice post! I think there are more of us here than you might think, and there are even more out in the broader world, who don't fit the stereotype because the stereotype mostly refers to the online communities, and there are a lot of older fans of hers who take no part in any social media. Dedicated metal fans in my experience fit into two categores - very closed minded, or very open minded. The former will never like things that don't fit into what they think their 'fandom' should cover; the latter will try to find any music that is exciting, fun, interesting, radical, different, etc etc. And then there are the out and out Lana stans who happen to sing for heavy metal bands, like Sharon Den Adel.
  8. I've been to country festivals before - I can't even imagine what it would be like having Lana turn up to sing.
  9. Edit: Elle posted it better.
  10. I really think Lana sometimes just forgets she has 16 million followers, and does this stuff not meaning anything by it at all.
  11. If you watch this without sound, it looks like the worst Black Flag tribute band ever.
  12. (Spoiler above complaining about lazy magazines) On the plus side, this is awesome news, and shows just how powerful Lana is as a world wide artist.
  13. I'm also desperate for a link to the video. I can't download the 8gb file from Mega without paying for membership.
  14. Whoever ends up paying for it, it was fantastic that Lana got to finish her set properly, rather than having the power cut.
  15. Lana could end Halloween forever by dressing up in the her blue Coachella outfit, and dressing her cat in a replica of her black outfit.
  16. It was a million dollar performance, so she (and we) still came out ahead.
  17. Some nice sentiments all around https://www.instagram.com/p/C6AC5OdvRqB/?hl=en&img_index=1
  18. I've only watched the show once, but feel like it's going to be on rotation a lot when I finally get a copy of it. I thought it was a fantastic representation of who Lana is, and what she wants out of a live performance. This is just my opinion of her as an artist, and some people might disagree, but I don't think she does anything ironically or sarcastically when she's performing. I think she develops ideas in her head of what a perfect show will be, and the actual shows are those wishes filtered through the realities of what putting on a massive performance are. Last night I think she got really close to bringing the reality close to her ideal concept of a show. The look on her face throughout was something wonderful - even (maybe especially?) during 'I Luv It'. She was completely in the moment during that, and during CN, and during Hope, and a bunch of others. As 'super fans', we can get lost hoping that she'll play our favourite songs or switch things up more, but I try to just listen to what she's actually doing, and not wish for what's coming next. Coachella booked her as Lana Del Rey, not as 'The Young and Beautiful Singer' (as some newspapers still refer to her as). All you can ask of an artist is that they're true to themselves and give their all, and I think she did that (mostly). At the start of the Tunnel tour, I said she was making her own jukebox musical out of her own songs, and I think she got as close to that as she ever has with this show.
  19. OMG Thank you! I was pounding my head on the table trying to remember what this was!
  20. Don't forget 'Is This Happiness' which is one of the funniest putdowns ever in a song, at least until 'Your poetry's bad and you blame the news'.
  21. honestly the funniest thing that's ever happened at a Lana show
