  1. I'm afraid it's the other way around sadly. The Russian government blocked Twitter in their country because they didn't like Russians posting critical stuff on there...
  2. That I guess is true but saying this in a thread about Putin's completely unprovoked war, with people dying and losing their homes, is a little insensitive. You can say that you disagree with a government but it just sounds like you're making excuses for this war. Whatever you dislike about Zelensky kind of has no relation to what Putin is doing because it was never about justice or saving anybody. Putin is a right-wing imperialistic madman. That's the entire background of that war.
  3. Absolutely agree but I think many European countries are developing new energy strategies. I guess they can get gas supplies from the US. In my opinion, working together and building networks is important and the base for peace (most of the time...) but it's also not clever to make your country completely dependent of others. So tbh yes it's gonna be hard for a short time but it's definitely also gonna get better and maybe this is the start for better developments, energy wise, in Europe. When one door closes another one opens. My optimism is infamous in my family. Everything's gonna be alright
  4. On a more positive note: I'm slowly starting to feel like Europe and all partners are really getting the upper hand. I wonder if Putin is so insane that he genuinely doesn't realize he's already lost everything, or if he knows exactly he's shot himself in the foot but is too proud to admit it? I also see how people are still scared of a war but it's getting less somehow. The way Putin and his minions are simply getting roasted everytime they try to intimidate us again, by people all over the world directly under their posts. There's no respect anymore for these clowns and they aren't feared so much anymore, but rather looked down on. I love it.
  5. Take these posts with a grain of salt. There's a possibility that this was just propaganda. There's one or two people on here who are pro Putin!
  6. I fear for Zelensky. It‘s really awful to say that but I don‘t think he is going to survive this. The Russian troops are already in Kyiv and I‘m sure Putin has planned Zelensky‘s death. Also, about the peace negotiations - aren’t they supposed to take place in Belarus which is clearly pro-Russian? I‘m not sure they‘re gonna let him leave that country… I hope I am wrong. I wonder what Putin‘s daughters think of their father‘s behaviour.
  7. I've sort of had it with the countryside stuff. I always love some 70s aesthetic. 1970s rock, suede/leather, denim, big city (NY preferably). Colors: orange, brown, green. She's done that in late 2013 and 2014 already. And a sound that goes along with that of course. An album of piano ballads wouldn't fit that kind of aesthetic. One of my favorite shoots ever is the one for Madame Figaro in 2013. I love the makeup, hair, clothes, setting,... I wish we had the entire shoot in HQ
  8. I hope you're right about that! Yes and Finland already won the Winter War against Russia in 1940 and they seem pretty unimpressed by Russia. So do the Swedes. It's really frightening but I guess we can't go down that spiral where in the future, whenever Russia doesn't like something they're gonna threaten to nuke a country. This rhetoric needs to end before it can establish itself. It's ridiculous.
  9. I'm an optimist and I do believe it is going to happen. They did cancel Nordstream 2 after hesitating so I have hopes they're not too cowardish to cut Russia form SWIFT, but they're careful. I don't know, for now I trust in the sanity of my government. I do think Scholz is a very rational man. I hope they're deciding wisely. Btw, after the threat from Russia, the Swedish people seem to be even more determined to join the NATO. If they do I just hope this won't escalate even further and Russia won't actually attack Sweden and Finland.
  10. I agree, they could be much more forceful! But I don't think it's the economical effects on Germany that make them hesitate. I think they're actually afraid that Russia is gonna get even closer with China if they're gonna be cut from the EU financially. And in that case, we'd have that Russian maniac as a partner of the world's biggest economical and military force, and both love to invade countries apparently. The big problem is that China is not on our side. If that was the case I'm almost sure Russia would be excluded from SWIFT by now, or soon at least. I just don't know what can make Putin stop really... it seems like the more provoked he feels, the more he threatens the EU/NATO with war. The entire situation feels so fragile.
  11. wtffff as if that's any of their business?! Who do they think they are, kings of the world? Sweden and Finland can do whatever the hell they want. What kind of strategy is that now "In case any country here does anything we don't agree with, we're gonna nuke them." Omg somebody just fucking overthrow that damned regime. Fucking muppets. I'm sorry. ANYWAY apart from that, the German minister for economic affairs said something very nice yesterday and I just want to share it: "In the end, the people with their hopes, their courage und their longing for freedom will trimpuh over dictators. The tragedy is that sometimes, it takes a little longer."
  12. Please take some rest! From what I gather it seems like the situation has turned little and Ukraine is able to fight back harder. And Anonymous are getting involved. Now if they could hack and break down the Russian military's communication system... One can only dream. Anyway, if you take a break, do it now with some good news on your mind!
  13. Have you been sleeping at all? I feel like you should give yourself a break for a few hours.
  14. Yes yes YES I looove when Anonymus enter the stage! They can really have an impact!
  15. Okay, I just wanna leave one kind of positive thought here before I go to bed: I have hope that some of the sanctions imposed on Russia could weaken Putin‘s influence a little. If I understand correctly many countries are not imposing sanctions on Putin himself but on the rich Russian oligarchs, which means they‘re probably gonna lose billions of dollars in the future, and as we all know - the richer the greedier. Putin is mingling with all those billionaires who now are potentially gonna lose a shit ton of money because of his stupid war. They are all very patriotic but maybe, just maybe, if they lose enough money they could make him stop. You don‘t wanna piss off the richest people in your country. And with that I wish everybody a good night (/day) and hope I‘m gonna wake up tomorrow realizing that all of this was just a nightmare…
  16. I personally don‘t get that because I‘d want to be known for making life better for people instead of worse but oh well-
  17. That‘s incredibly brave in my opinion. And the more people join, the less a government can do about it. You can‘t imprison your entire country. Like wtf is he even doing, everybody hates him. That man is gonna go down in history books as an asshole, is he aware…?!
  18. The joke is, even Putin‘s own people are protesting against that war. He has nobody on his side frankly - except nuclear weapons and that is really the only fucking problem. One of his goals was obviously to weaken the bonds of Europe and the USA, respectively the NATO but what happened is that countries like Sweden are considering to become members of the NATO now. Exactly the opposite of what he wanted. The bonds are stronger than ever and there’s so many countries, all the way to Australia, that are condemning Putin‘s actions. The only problem are the weapons he has. Btw I just wanna say, I love how nobody is coming for Russians but only for Putin here. Hatred against an entire nation because of what their leader is doing is just furthering the war rhetoric!
  19. Okay I just wanna make this clear: I am no expert but as long as the Russian troops don‘t invade NATO territory (Poland for example) the USA are not gonna get involved. All members of the NATO have to get involved if one of their members is getting attacked so let‘s hope and pray (whatever that means for you)…
  20. That would mean the NATO gets involved and I don‘t even wanna type it but… that could possibly lead to a huge war, possibly a world war… Edit: That‘s the reason why we should all hope Putin doesn‘t plan to go further and invade Poland or other eastern European countries because they are part of the NATO too and have the right to be protected by their partner nations.
  21. Those who start a war and bring death and hurt to others are always wrong. Always.
  22. My dear, even if it doesn't change reality, to calm yourself down maybe you should shut off your phone, TV etc. for a few hours. Don't keep reading the news or theories of what else could happen and don't keep getting worked up about it but allow yourself a break. The frustrating truth is, no one here can help the situation anyway.
  23. Oh always. And being the leader of a country for way too long.
  24. Omg I hate sitting here completely powerless and it seems stupid as hell but I just wanna say I'm thinking of everybody in the Ukraine and close to it and I'm sending you so much love.
