i agree that it's a really reflective listen, though i dont find it to be a sad or painful listening experience (will of course depend on people's life experiences/current events). i get more contemplative when i listen, really makes me think a lot about my own life when i listen, which is interesting because a lot of it is so specific to lana's life– though this is a true of a lot of her work, and part of the reason i appreciate her artistry so much.

i only have one variant so far (the target version) and imo it sounds so good– the organ on wild at heart came through much more on vinyl than even earphones? but not sure how it compares to other vinyls.

i love their friendship it's all lasers tbh (but she's always had great skin, even before she was rich enough to get regular laser treatments)

One of my least fav songs she’s ever released- I listen to LFL pretty regularly but never to this song. I just find it so boring & lackluster.

ok so i watched the movie a few nights ago and it's really about a young boy looking back at his childhood and how rich it was in terms of love/family etc– which i think, in yosemite, reminded lana of this person in her life who had a brutal/rough upbringing. also there is a lot of looking back at the past on COCC, so it makes sense to me that that movie gets pulled in since it's so much a recollection of youth.

yeah I get that. I guess as a very conflict-averse person myself it’s hard to understand goading the media when she could just enjoy the spoils, ie all the success/acclaim/joy from releasing music , without the added stress of engaging in some fight that can never be “won.” There are so many ways for her to respond that don’t involve the public call outs- namely through her art.

i think she cares deeply tbh, and while I understand in some respects I really don’t in others- she has SO many fans and admirers in her corner. And while she seems to want to protect her legacy at this point there’s no use in arguing/getting revenge- just live your best life girl! all that said I can’t wait to hear the record.

Also thinking about how rock candy is super sweet but also jagged and sharp in the mouth. And laughing bc we were all joking about her announcing the next album on COCC release day and here we are
