I posted this in the preorder thread but I'll put it here too: I called the store and the lady told me the vinyls will start shipping the 15th for people who ordered express shipping and a day or two later for the rest.

I called the store yesterday actually to try and cancel my order (ordering off another website) and they told me the vinyls would start shipping on the 15th. The people who paid for express shipping will have theirs sent out first obviously and the rest of us will get them sometime after. The lady told me mine (with regular shipping) would probably go out on the 18th or maybe a day or two before.

Yeah and those to me were the best video clips/visuals of the whole era.

He probably did some of the strings on the album. I believe he did the strings for OTTR (never mind not this one) a few songs on BTD but wasn't credited as a "producer". They probably just use the words interchangeably since he is technically producing the instrument without being a producer.

I feel like this is 75% of the reason people who don't like her don't. But good on you @@National Anthem for giving her a try! I was the same way too tbh. I feel like a lot of people are in our situation where they heard so much and never liked her without hearing the music and once they actually gave it a chance they realized she isn't nearly as bad as people say. But that's just what I've noticed from the handful of people that have said similar things as us on the forum. It's a shame.

I just got done listening to Badlands all the way through for the first time. It was nothing like I thought it would be and I actually really liked it despite not being too fond of what I knew of Halsey so far. Proof you should never judge until you hear. Really after hearing it I don't see why anyone says she copies Lana except for the NA chorus but other than that I don't honestly see many similarities. Its good enough that I might even buy the vinyl, which I only do if I really, really like an album. But I'm going to give it some time. There were some songs that were kind of forgettable but I liked it overall. I think my favorites were Castle and Drive! Oh and the Walk The Line cover was a kind of strange/good surprise?

I had no idea they would be exclusive or I would have preordered it :/ well there's one on eBay I guess I'll try for

I can not find the album in CD form where it is packaged in story book form anywhere. Any ideas to where I might get it online? They aren't in her store and not on any major website either :/

I was more or less making a general statement that its hard. But if you had seen the Honeymoon Pre-release thread a few days ago you'd understand, people were basically saying Lana's songwriting was subpar and always has been which I really didn't agree with seeing as she writes some really beautiful things and can really evoke feelings and imagery with her work. I completely agree that some of it is bad and should be called out, but to completely discredit her songwriting just isn't fair.

I highly appreciate this thread, idk why everyone started shitting on her lyrics in the HM thread, she is fantastic. I don't think people realize how hard it is to write lyrics until they try it themselves. Its very difficult. You guys are so convinced there will be nothing but Honeymoons on the album...have you not heard High By The Beach? Do you really think that'll be the only upbeat song amidst a sea of violin strings and slow vocals? I think Lana has more taste than to put some random trap song on her album and not have it somehow linked to other tracks or have some that sound similar. Although I will say that the single cover and video for HBTB seem to have completely 0 to do with the rest of the visuals of the album so far so that kind of bothers me. I guess WC's single art was pretty singular among the UV pictures too and fit in with the album but still. We'll just have to see what comes with HM and MTWBT.

It was one sentence and I said it might be hard for them to get into the songs - I never said it didn't happen, that they shouldn't, the songs weren't for them, etc. In fact, I pointed out one way that straight men interpret the songs to better relate to them (thus making the song for them) and a few people agreed. What about that dude that kept dropping the title months before anyone knew it? That doesn't really confirm that he has it I guess but it could be possible

I think my boyfriend likes Lana to an extent. He went with me to her concert and liked it and he always air drums when West Coast comes on, sometimes subconsciously. He probably doesn't count since he doesn't really listen to her outside of when I do, that I know of. Except he was familiar with Blue Jeans when I met him but it could have been from an ex since I think she liked some pop music and they dated in late 2011 - late 2012. I know his brother (who is 100% straight) likes Born to Die (song). But I'm sure its hard for guys to get into a song with lines like "let me put on a show for you daddy" etc. although I think I've heard that some straight guys just imagine she is singing to them in some cases.

I guess, I've never followed the release of an album (even UV) so close without it leaking super early so I don't know if its normal to get snippets of every single song beforehand. Apparently it is.

I doubt the same website will make that mistake twice. I'm sure someone on Lana's team found out and were pissed and said something.

I'm doing the same thing, I haven't listened to any of the HM tracks in a week and don't plan to. I'm going to wait until my vinyl gets here and listen to it for the first time that way. I was planning on waiting with Froot and I caved and got it when it leaked two months early and wish I hadn't (except I was waiting on the box set so it would've been May before I got it ). After Froot I'm pretty over listening to leaked albums though I don't judge anyone who does because it doesn't really matter. I just want to hear it on vinyl the first time.

I like the blonde hair with little makeup, like the AKA cover. When it's with heavy dark eyes where she looks like Britney is when it's bad. Black hair was everything though. Yay for HBTB! I was hoping it would be a bigger hit than it was but nah :/

Can someone send me the instrumentals? I've been waiting for this since Froot came out
