Here guys, this video has exactly what she said and how it went: -
If this isn't real its a pretty believable set of verses. It sounds very Lana to me. I actually kind of like it if this is real - it is very dreamy and romantic. It's not earth shattering but considering what we already had from the snippet I don't think anyone thought this would be the next OTTR anyways. I find this extra exciting since I was just listening to the snippet earlier and thinking about this song and how beautiful it is. I'm a sucker for the cinematic, cheesy orchestra stuff; I actually really like all of Dan Heath's work with Lana (besides the two Big Eyes songs).

Not gonna lie, I feel slightly cheated that she only performed HM and FK at the last show. FK makes sense kind of, and I can't complain too much because she did half of OM at my show, but I wish she wouldn't premiere these songs mid way/at the end. I missed hearing UV live last year because of the same thing. -

So here is my account of the concert: I wasn't pressed to get there early or anything since my friend and I had assigned seating and she only lived about 10 minutes form the venue so we got there around 7. I met up with a fellow LB member to spread the glorious gospel give them a CD and we chatted some until Grimes came on. Grimes was alright but I had forgotten to put in my contacts so she was literally a blur and her music is just a tad too weird for me. I went in the middle of Grimes' set to buy a shirt and then convinced one of the gate ladies to let me go get my contacts so I could see. When she came on it was amazing. Her whole look was beautiful and she sounded amazing from the start. The sound was wonderful, I could hear her so clear and people weren't singing so loud that I was at all bothered. I had two people's tickets who were coming and had to let them in during Cruel World which was really annoying but it was alright, I was back in my seat by the opening line of Cola. I was sitting slightly off to the right from the stage but only a few rows back from the Gold VIP people so it was nice. I could see between the two people in front of me but some girl kept swaying so sometimes it was hard to see. She talked to us a few times about how glad she was to be back and how lucky she was. She took a tiara thing from someone during UATW and wore it and looked like a literal queen. I wish she would have worn it the rest of the show. I was surprised at how accurate people were about fans sitting down during the unreleased stuff. I didn't care though because it just made my view better. Some guy caught her attention and gave her this giant blanket/flag thing and that started her 5 minute selfie and meeting session. She spent a surprisingly small amount of time in the pit to be honest - I figured she'd go down more than once and for longer but it was very brief. She did kiss a fan on the lips! One thing I completely loved was she changed the lyrics to Born to Die just slightly to "if you make me feel at home, then I'll tell you you're mine". It was so perfect with the way she sang it. That was the first song I ever heard by her but last night she made me fall in love with it all over. Also, no one prepped me for the fact that she would sing "let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain" in the chorus. That got some yells. She unfortunately replaced Brooklyn Baby with Ride again, although she sounded fantastic singing it. Her voice all night was on point and she had completely control. It was amazing to see how far she had come from just last year in May. Right after Shades of Cool the front of the pit began chanting something and she talked about "not having done that before". I'm assuming they were saying Old Money since that is when she decided to sing that for us. She only did the first verse and chorus and stopped though but it was very beautiful and very special that she did that for us. They began chanting again after she stopped (I SWEAR they were saying Honeymoon but it could have been wishful thinking) and she said "What is this? Karaoke night?!" and then said she didn't know that one. Towards the end the people in front of me left so I had a great view the last third of the show. At end end she thanked us and said she couldn't wait to come back next year, sang OTTR and then left with her blanket thing the guy gave her. Overall I really really enjoyed myself. I felt so lucky that she sang Old Money and was grateful she did UATW if only because it made the show longer. I was a little sad that she didn't perform Do Right but I think OM made up for that. After this show though I think I've decided when she comes back that I am going to do whatever the equivalent of Silver VIP is. My seats have been nice for the two times I saw her but I want to try the intensity of the pit, especially since she isn't meeting after anymore and I do want to meet her eventually. Side note, I had post concert depression approximately 5 seconds after she disappeared off the stage. It was so surreal, I just wasn't ready for it all to end even though we got a longer concert than most and longer than last year. She is just so lovely. -

I'm leaving my house in 30 minutes to go! I'm dying of excitement! My friend and I are listening to Grimes right now to get an idea of what to expect. I'll be in a pink and white sleeveless shirt with pink high tops and straight blonde hair so say hi if you see me! I will have some AKAs with me to give out. -
She is apparently adding back in UATW and Do Right and did Ride tonight. Hopefully her setlist will stay this long (and she'll do MTWBT soon )

That's awesome and so lucky! I wish I was going to Governor's Ball so I could see them both. Marina isn't coming anywhere near me I'll be sure and bring a copy or two -

Only a little over a week to go! I'm starting to get really excited. I have no idea what to wear though. I meant to buy a rose sweater like from the first BJ video but I waited so long that unless I pay $60 in shipping it won't get here in time, and even then it still might not. Will anyone be going that isn't going to be in the pit/doesn't need to stand in line for 12 hours? I'd love to meet up with some fellow Lana fans! And @@Elle and anyone else going, you were probably joking but I do have a few random AKA copies laying around from practicing making one - if you want one I can bring it and you can have it free. They are just taking up space on my CD shelf. -
Can you walk up the the stage after the show and give security or someone that might still be lingering around the stage something to give her? I have a seated ticket and would love to give something small to her but obviously I won't be near the front. I won't be too upset if not. And just so its clear, she is not coming out after any shows to see fans this time, right?

Y'all need to get profile pictures because it looks like someone having conversation with themselves when there actually 3-4 people talking She cut out Do Right, YCBTB, and UAW. I'd have loved to hear the cover, neutral on YCBTB, and don't really care for UAW tbh. I'd like the longer show but I'm just glad the setlist has changed some from last year and we finally have an unreleased track out there, which I feel like opens the gates for others in the future. I wish she'd add Old Money and FMUTTT back on though. Also I really just can't imagine she won't perform some HM song or another (though it's not promising right now) so that would add to the setlist too if she does.

She looks like Pennsatucky from OITNB in that IG snippet. I just found Night Time, My Time the other week and I fell in love. She is a lot more rock-ish than I thought she'd be. I really need NT,MT on vinyl.

She should call the song Among My Swan I'm so so surprised that the Honeymoon song hasn't been premiered yet since its in the tour merch. Why did the touring band learn songs from it if they weren't going to play them? I figured HM would have been out in the first bit and some other song near the end (like WC and UV during last year's tour). As I'm going to the second to the last show of the tour, I was really hoping to hear something new. -
So I never really listened to Mermaid Motel's lyrics (its a tad too strange for me) but if it ever did come on and I didn't change it when I heard "avenue" I thought she was said "in the nude". I thought the lines before it were probably some weird "come to my hotel" thing. The worst part is that I never thought "in the nude" being a Lana lyric was strange enough to look up the lyrics.

Guns and Roses has some of the best verses guys The best is West Coast for sure. Its so Lana and so not. And its easily the most interesting with the tempo changes and all. The worst I'd say is The Other Woman. Its a beautiful cover of a great song but it just had zero replay value for me after I stopped listening to the album all the way through.

Did a full video of her covering Primadonna never surface? I wish I had seen them in Atlanta when I had the chance.
-
They are all so good, but especially Ride. The humming at the beginning is absolutely perfect, and I don't even like Ride that much. Kill Kill would be my second (I might be biased since I love LDR). Cruel World's guitar intro is good but could have been a little longer imo. Born to Die is alright but it could have been anywhere else in the tracklist and it would have been okay.

Agree. She simply isn't going to play upcoming album tracks randomly and not say anything. I don't think her label would let her if she even tried. The fact that she is singing it live makes me feel 99% sure it won't be on there. Then again, the title track's lyrics were released through a piece of merch so who even really knows. -
I would like something like looks inspired. The paradise box set was so beautiful and there was so much attention to detail with the CD labels and the sleeves in the digipak. Everything had a place and purpose that went with the theme of the album(s). I think something where each piece is thought out and its not a black and white/flowery mass that kind of just looks pretty but has no real direction would be great. I'm probably biased and asking for a lot as I really, really love merchandise like that (its my dream job to design products for artists) but I just really appreciate something that is aesthetically pleasing and has artistic value in relation to the music too. I'd also almost prefer a box set like the Paradise one where there was no 12" if that meant getting a video disk and remixes. Ideally, I wish it came with a digipak of the album's instrumentals on one disk and acapellas on the other but I kind of understand why labels don't do that. I hope there is an exclusive picture or colored disk for the vinyl, maybe through RSD or like the UO release. I'd even take a box set with the vinyl like UV if it was really well done. And, as I said earlier in the thread, the 7" picture singles are an absolute must. Honeymoon is just such a pretty word to build a potential aesthetic around. I could see it going so many directions. I just hope the merch is pretty for my inner collector's sake. I like other artists as much as Lana but don't collect their stuff because its not as visually pleasing as hers.

I'm pretty sure she can't because of her label. They probably cared a lot less pre-BTD because she wasn't that big, but I doubt now that she's pretty famous that she can just do whatever she wants as far as releasing things. Its all a marketing game to be as strategic as possible and build hype. I think Honeymoon (song) will have vocals kind of like Old Money or Video Games but with an overall feel more like Never Let Me Go. Kind of nostalgic and summery but I don't think it'll have the sad edge that OM and VG have. -
I love the spinning ones, here are a bunch of them: http://www.buzzfeed.com/stacylambe/1-year-of-lana-del-rey-twirling

I can't handle y'all having the exact same display picture. I'm an odd mixture of being extremely hyped yet calm. I want the songs bad but I just want it all to be done right this time. I am SO excited to see her in June now though. She is just being so quiet but yet the album just feels like its close. -
Yesss my imagination just went wild with how pretty that could be. And if the center was like the flowers from that picture in the lyric book. Please bring back the 7" picture vinyls though! They are the coolest things to collect.

Last year for her North American tour all of the merch was available online at the time, so I'd hope soon that it will all get put up again.

For some reason I strongly associate this song and Bentley, maybe because of the driving around imagery. This could be the prequel to the story in Bentley if you read them that way.

The only reason I ever wanted unreleased stuff to get put on albums was so she'll sing it live (and better recordings for the handful of good LQ stuff). Now that she's singing them anyways I'm fine with all new songs on the albums, unless it is reworked way beyond what it originally was (i.e. Methamphetamines/Old Money).
