I was 12 when I first started listening to BTD, and it's funny that if I had been 10 years older, I would have seen and interpreted the album completely differently. Obviously a 12-14 year old can only relate so much to lines like "you love your candy/and your women" and "come take a walk on the wild side," so in my opinion, a lot of what we are nostalgic for really has more to do with our own interpretations than it does to solely her lyricism.

Also she gave us a lot of tracks during the BTD era, even officially. It could be worse, we could be Lady Gaga fans missing the 8 track era of The Fame Monster lol

Nostalgia is normal--when albums like BTD and UV came out we were all younger, and maybe we miss that part of ourselves. I don't think it's unfair to want something similar. But I do think it's unfair to say Lana is re-hashing her past 3 albums over and over again. I don't see "Did You Know" as a song that could've been on NFR-COTCC-BB. I think her lyricism is obviously very different from when she was in her early 20s, and that's a good thing. She grew up with us, and even though most of us are quite a bit younger than her, we probably still relate to lots of her lyrics post-UV/LFL.

I'm a modern day Madonna apologist in general. I think there's a lot of slander going around. RH was amazing, Madame X did something unique--she looks great (ok she's gone overboard with facetune before, but it looks like she's finally calmed down about it a bit, and her unedited pap pics look better than her insta pics in many cases), she's funny, and she's actually organically going TikTok viral, proving she's still relevant and talked about. Just please dear God don't give us a trap album.
