Mrs. Doubtfire ass looking glasses.

The interviewer actually addresses this: “…she did not look like someone whose career had died. She looked like a superstar who was mining her personal experience as successfully as ever. I am tempted to say this. But then I think, Who am I to challenge it, if that’s how she felt? The point is: she felt canceled. She felt as if her career had been taken from her. Something in her had been lost, and she was grieving it. Maybe this is the real Taylor Swift effect: That she gives people, many of them women, particularly girls, who have been conditioned to accept dismissal, gaslighting, and mistreatment from a society that treats their emotions as inconsequential, permission to believe that their interior lives matter. That for your heart to break, whether it’s from being kicked off a tour or by the memory of a scarf still sitting in a drawer somewhere or because somebody else controls your life’s work, is a valid wound, and no, you’re not crazy for being upset about it, or for wanting your story to be told.”

She really rewrote history with this “no one saw me for a year” thing. She was everywhere still in late-2016 to early-2017. I think newer fans don’t realize her “blackout” was like a few hours before she started the Rep era??

Take Me Home, Country Roads (John Denver Cover) [SINGLE] - December 1st, 2023
Mer replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
BTW did anyone who clicked this on her newsletter thingy actually have Take Me Home, Country Roads automatically saved to their streaming platform? BC I certainly didn't -
I hate to wax poetic, but as someone who distinctly remembers having to defend her to my peers in the 8th grade, back in 2012/13, and how she was the punchline of many media-outlets—it makes me uniquely emotional seeing the praise and the deep-rooted respect she is given now in 2023. Seeing headlines like “Lana Del Rey forgives us” and reading articles like this tell me what I always knew about her, and in a way, they validate the little boy who was made fun of for liking her and who felt the need to hide who he really was. Maybe one day I’ll forgive them too

It’s clear. It’s just the earth that’s blue. Why is space dark if the sun is right there?

They did a pap walk one week before Midnights dropped, which seemed to purposefully make sure no one saw Midnights as a break-up album tho...

also it begs the question…were Lavender Haze and Labyrinth really about Joe or about some new boyfriend we never knew about? I always thought there was a really tragic story arch when you look at Reputation through to Midnights about a relationship ending (sometime around evermore) but believed it was all just fictional…now I’m not so sure some of evermore isn’t about Joe

You’re Losing Me being written in Dec. 2021 (according to Jack) makes NO sense. So where she and Joe broken up during Midnights and just pretended to be together so it wouldn’t overshadow her album drop?

Anyone know what time she goes on? I really hate watching live TV 😅 -
JFC I wish she’d just get these re-records over and done with. I really don’t want TS11 before she finishes re-recording

Speak Now TV was released 112 days after she started The Eras Tour, 1989 TV was released 112 days after Speak Now's release, and 112 days from the 1989 TV release date is February 16th, 2024. Since this is her last tour stop before February, I think that's why ppl think it's being announced tonight.
