I don’t really know where else to voice opinions like these on the internet so I have resorted to good ol lanaboards. i personally love both attention & paint the town red. I do see them both as sonic advancements for Doja. Everyone saying they sound like planet her/hot pink outtakes are just bandwagon hating at this point. She’s not going to come out sounding like a brand new person like what did they expect when she said she has a “new sound”… anyways in regards to her controversies as “Scarlet” literally who cares. She basically said fuck you to Stan culture (which I agree with honestly. People making worshiping celebs their identity) and everyone got mad. I love Doja still and am excited for this era.

Ok so I would personally start with glitch princess. It’s her most acclaimed and most structured album. (I love her debut, however if I started with that it may have been confusing and idk if it would have hit as hard as it did once I was already into glitch, because it has many interludes and such and the songs are more lyrical expressions and phrases repeated over amazing instrumentals than full verse and such. It’s a masterpiece but idk if I’d recommend it as an entry point into her discography) the first track on glitch princess is a spoken intro, and the last track is 4 hours of ambient music so imo both of those are sort of disposable, but the rest of the album is a SERVE of epic proportions. FAV TRACKS: bites on my neck, Electric, don’t be so hard on your own beauty, I <3 u, eyes, perfect blue… at this point the whole damn album LOL

I can’t even begin to collect myself up off the floor enough to formulate a review… 11/10

Haven’t heard any of the leaks, wouldn’t classify myself as a Kim stan (more of a slayyyter gay) but I am interested in hearing a proper Kim Petras album. However judging by fb fact coconuts is on it and some of and comments I’ve read regarding the sound of the rest of the tracks, it seems like a not so cohesive album (but I feel like it’s her labels fault!) loved some of her 2017 singles but I always found it odd how she never had a proper album. Her Halloween stuff I never got into because I don’t really care for seasonal music, does she have any other projects I should listen to in order to prepare for this release?
