Perverts proved what I had already suspected: I am not a die-hard fan and prefer when her songs are closer to Preacher’s Daughter. I wasn’t expecting American Teenager type of songs here at all (it’s even almost out of place on the album tbh), I had read her description of it, read some critics, and read on her subreddit what it would about, so I knew Perverts would be ambiant but it’s not for me sadly. 
 
I have mad, mad respect for her artistry, I don’t think I’ve seen an artist approaching and planning her career as thoughtfully as she does, and fans will probably love Perverts for the reasons I don’t. The tracks are, to me, chamber music made with drones for people on a psychiatric ward, or they could be the soundtrack for a modern art showroom about mental institutions. I love ambiant music but I need a bit more melodies than what I heard on many tracks. 
 
Punish is my favourite (love that song so, so much). vacillator and Amber Waves are also good (although I can’t even hum the melody to Amber Waves tbh). 
 
Perverts, sadly, won’t be the soundtrack to my winter, but I’m glad so many of you are enjoying it

bringing back may jailer sound would be the epitome of “back to basics”, yeah mix some sultry songs in like tulsa/cherry/fenway etc and it would work 
I love all her unreleased acoustic stuff.. and my favourite songs of hers are nectar of the gods and heroin, so I wouldn’t be too sad about this, think others may be bored tho

This is her most underrated song ever (despite it being a cover). It’s so painfully sad and her delivery is even sadder. This strangely enough was one of the first lana songs I was introduced to and at such a sad point in my life, it will always hold a very very special place in my heart
