also; crash songs are so basic writing wise but so different at the same time. idk.
i've never heard a pop song with the same pov as yuck, a woman disgusted by the thought of love and genuine care. or like constant repeat, or especially every rule where shes so open about cheating (irl and not as a made up situation).
i feel like lots of pop songs have had this, but ive never really seen that b4, especially for a billboard top 10 chart topper

some unpopular opinions about Charli's career:

- SUCKER is actually a very bright, solid and fun album, the polished production overral is what elevates him and he has a really good tracklist
- as much as i love pop punk, almost none of the pop punk demos of SUCKER sounds good comparing to the final mixes
- So Over You demo is better than the final one, and Sucker demo is ultrainferior to the released one
- the only reason why some people love to hate Boys, 1999, Blame It On Your Love, Boom Clap, Out of My Head, Gone and Beg For You is because they're Charli's pop bangers, if they were released by some other artist y'all would be worshiping them
- if SuperLove was a smash hit, a lot of you would hate her just like you do with the other pop bangers in her catalog

• pure pop excellence charli >>> “hyperpop” charli but that’s just personal taste 
• pop 2 is so severely overrated, a lot of the features ruin the songs completely 
• sucker is really a pretty great project, take a few songs out and it would be superb 
• self titled sucks for a variety of reasons. shake it is like unbearable, the cover is hideous (sorry charles, but ), it is the messiest collection of songs ever, and blame it on your love is…. um.. boring and dated (remember like, 2017 when everyone was obsessed with it and it’s 93758 demos? out of all her leaked tracks she chose to release THAT one?!) also 1999 is fun and a bop but it should’ve stayed as a monthly drop single and nothing else

- Baby is one of her worst ever songs she tricked us into getting hype for it with the snippet of the intro / sinusitis vocals and hookless hell 

Sucker/the punk material is great. If you get it you get it if you don't you don't.

I’ll never forgive Charlotte for the way she butchered P4U released version. The demo was literal perfection even if it does have just that first verse. I think I read on here years ago a theory that the outro isn’t just tea kettle noises, it’s the 1000 pink balloons deflating cause he never showed up and I choose to believe this delusion. Demo version, a masterpiece.

Yas at Queen Lizzy praise but Waterfall is truly top 3 from that album. Can You Hear Me is really good too. I usually skip GNO, GG and Bounce tho  I bop to them but the rest are better.

I love how in the first 20 seconds or so she seems to be bra shopping and looks very critical at what's in the stores like she's a pretentious art critic like Mr. Fantano. It seems like she had to go to Japan to figure out that braless is the best way to enjoy the sun & that it doesn't matter, because we just need to make fun and let it all hang out. So Mr. Fantano and other art critics can suck it.
 
I love how empowering this video is and this song gives me life. This is what it means to be a Charli XCX fan. And this was my critical analysis, take it or leave it.

To me Charli is a self-indulgent pop serve, it’s a diverse pop record and I guess that could read as incoherency to some? It’s produced really well front to back and has quite a few career highlights.
 
the only dud is 1999, but mainly because it doesn’t fit

Look @Theprettyymess, this was back when cars were functional and bluetooth was alive and kicking... but then she put on a bra, made people sweat and became a sports instructor for a day. Now Japanese people have had their cars crash and bluetooth was, or is sometimes, not working, unless of course she unleashes Japanese bonus track 'Sweat' with or without Miranda on the track!
 

Will damn I guess my unpopular opinion is that the self-titled album is incredible
