this comes as a problem in eu because in many eu countries hate speech is forbidden and many times punishable by a criminal court so we do have different worldviews on it , freedom of speech is a human right but can be restricted at times , especially when it targets a specific group due to its specific characteristics

Free public healthcare exists in European countries , with healthcare workers being compensated enough and sufficiently for their demanding labor ( there are other instances that are generally the exceptions, like in my country for example , where there are insufficiencies in the public health sector concerning the compensation of healthcare workers due to the ongoing economic crisis BUT health care remains free and really effective ). Also Sally Pipes is part of a think tank as I read that one of its main objectives is to push liberal ideology so i can see why she does not agree with Medicare . That does not mean though that a different healthcare system cannot work in the US or that there aren't any other alternatives. In other countries other healthcare systems are living examples of the different directions a country can take.
