from time to time again i have a sudden urge to buy a playstation or an xbox just to live my childhood dreams and then i change my mind again by telling myself that i don’t have time to play video games but i want one so bad tbh

Just finished watching Poor Things One of the best films of 2023 imo(along with Past Lives) , Yorgos is truly a national treasure

I think my favorites for 2023 were ： Past lives , Killers of the Flower Moon , Fallen Leaves Haven’t watched saltburn and poor things yet so really excited to see how they match up to the others

A man telling a woman how to express her past experiences on being a woman and existing in today’s society or her own femininity is just- i always believed and still believe that he was most of the times unjustifiably harsh on her and imo projected some form of misogynistic opinions on her work ( maybe even subconsciously ). And he was one of the many critics who perpetuated the idea that she wasn’t talented earlier in her career.

I interpreted as a way for her to say that she is willing to push her boundaries even more and that she is willing to fly so close to the sun even if that leads to her “fall” .
