They are amazing indeed i have very high expectations for their album and I think that they won’t disappoint !

At first i thought that the ads were something sketchy but then I read the thread and I understood that they weren’t. I don’t mind them but the only thing that worries me a bit ( as being a new member as well ) is how casual browsers and people that are thinking of making an account perceive them . They might think that the site is unsafe or even discourage them from making an account. I also really liked the idea of having merch as a forum , in that way we will contribute if we can and most importantly we will support the creative members who have incredible ideas (better that the official merch most of the times) Just some of my thoughts

I want Zach Dawes, Dan Auerbach and Rick Nowels in the studio with Lana lock them in if necessary .. just joking ofc I want guitar solos and Lana’s ethereal vocals , anger , sadness and vulnerability but amongst all the chaos and in the midst of the album Lana seems to become stronger and her lyrics prove that she is not what others paint her to be -

For real I need her to say something ..it's starting to feel like she never announced the album in the first place and I just dreamed about it -

I couldn’t agree more with this specific part . It is exactly what I wanted to say in a previous post and couldn’t articulate it well. The shift in critique really baffles me as well , it is crazy how critics only acknlowdged her when she was stripped of all of the cinematic features and production that she used to be known for. Only when she adopted a less controversial and safe approach in her music and lyrics she was acknowlegded for her artistry and people actually focused on her music. (Again these are just my thoughts ) -

Everyone can express their opinions and preferences because that's the reason we are members of LB, to share our opinions on one of our favorite artists. The thing though that feels strange to me is that critics seem to glorify Lana's new work and more minimalistic approach to production saying that her old or more dramatic sound was adding more to that ''sad persona'' or even mocking AKA and her image during that period. It saddens me and it also feels to me a little bit hypocritical that critics used to trash her more grand imagery and production in the start of her career or even focusing on more superficial things about her and not her music at all . Both a grand production and a minimal one can be praised , especially with Lana's work and evolution that can be seen from the start of her career. Lana has always been great and did not start being great or ''songwriter'' material from NFR or from her collaboration with Jack ( or with any other producer really) she has always been one . Every album is a part of her ongoing journey and we are just here for the ride . (These are just my personal thoughts ) -

That’s exactly what I think the album has to have, that sound , the emotion in her voice all of it -

I truly hope it's Zach producing the album with some songs that didn't fit COCC from Jack. I really liked COCC but I want to see something new from her this time. Don't get me wrong the artist guides the sound of the album but the producer leaves his/hers signature as well . Anyone can tell sonically that NFR and COCC were produced by Jack , because they share many similarities . Also I do see many similarities in Jack's work in other albums produced by him and I'm afraid that him working for so many mainstream artists may impact Lana's work in a negative way ( that's my personal thought though ) . -

Lana Del Rey x Nikki Lane 1 - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

Tbh the fact that she didn't release the TLSP album still hurts to this day because we have seen how good the songs that got released are The only positive things that I can think of right now are that maybe it will be more on the rock and blues side and that maybe Dan will come along to help with the production of the album We'll have to wait and see -
