Margaret was probably the last recorded still, as Candy Necklace was added last minute. It doesn’t mean it was recorded last minute

Where did we get the info that CN was added last minute? Or was it mere speculation? Because the impression I got from the interviews was that Margaret was the last track written and added.

hollywood deserves to be reworked so bad

    ldr10 pleasee

It's crazy how she's got 10 at least songs that would have SLAYED on her albums just sitting there.. But at the same time, she's happy to put out rubbish tracks like The Trio.

It's like, very selective perfectionism. Not to mention "Ridin'" would've been a Billboard 100 entry for sure, as would Serial Killer and Hollywood probably, with the right production.

I mean, Say Yes to Heaven has 10 million views on YouTube - that's like all of Blue Banisters views combined (not counting the singles).

whoever said they would reveal the candy necklace drama in 2025 is probably waiting til then in case Lana does release the album she made with them. that's my theory... I think I cracked this case wide open tbh :brows:

ok but imagine how slay it would be if she actually dropped her country covers album, american classics album, TLSP collab album, and this (hypothetical) other album w/ the candy necklace collaborators :defeated: we need a year that is just jam-packed with Lana destroying us with song after song after SONG

edit: and a UV b-sides / melancholia(?) original album for UVs 10th anniversary. let a girl dream

Tbh honest, I'd rather Lana release an "Unreleased" tracks record containing literally these songs:

Serial Killer (shoulda been on Born to Die)

Hollywood (shoulda been on Honymoon, woulda fit perfectly, especially with more of a trap production)

You Can be the Boss (shoulda been on Born to Die or Paradise)

Backfire (shoulda been on Born to Die or Paradise)

Driving in Cars with Boys (shoulda been on Born to Die or Paradise)

Ridin'  (shoulda been on Born to Die or Paradise)

Your Girl (why this was cut off Ultraviolence is one of life's greatest mysteries. Woulda fit perfectly)

Say Yes To Heaven (shoulda been on Ultra or Honeymoon)

Goodbye Kiss (my fav cover of hers alongside Doin' Time)

Angels Forever, Forever Angels (shoulda been an Ultra bonus track)

    1. Ultraviolence

    2. Lust For Life

    3. Honeymoon

    4. NFR

    5. Ocean Blvd

    6. Born To Die/Paradise

    7. Chemtrails

    8. Blue Banisters

Actually I think maybe it’ll beat NFR and take his place in 4th,  but I’ll only assure that after hearing the full record. My top 3 is unchangeable, and I think it’ll be like that forever.

Love this list! I just got NFR higher (1) because I feel it's more of a complete record. For me, Ultraviolence is very front-loaded. But that first half - one of the greatest highlights of her career. When the album dropped back in 2013 or whenever, I couldn't believe that she managed to change her sound completely yet still sound like herself. That's when I knew I was a die-hard fan. (Cuz you never know with sophomore records). 10 years later, here i am ! <3

this ranking changes daily almost. Oneday honeymoon might be number 1 depends on my mood

Lol. I know. Mine changes daily too! But NFR is always on top and BB always at the bottom. I'm glad to see so much love for NFR in the replies. What a record!

am i blind or why i haven’t seen anyone talking about “Let the light in” snippet?

    :raven:

    Spoiler

Guess people still haven't found it yet. Or just didn't get around to it. I didn't. Honestly, I think it's also good to park and not spoil the entire album. Like, there should be some surprises.

Honestly, I wish I hadn't listen to anything. But it's like a drug - there is no way not to! lmao

I’m hopeful for this album but I wish she hadn’t switched up her style so much post-NFR. if this album ends up being a snoozefest I’m going to be so disheartened. I just need two or three bops about drugs & being sexy lol :hair::beyonce:

    Spoiler

Well, you're getting it with AW, Peppers and Taco Truck, maybe even Fishtails. Maybe even Candy Necklace or some of the others we haven't heard anything of Certainly more bops than Chemtrails and BB, which had zero. That's what I meant when I said Lana is a bit more commercially minded with this album. Collabs, Jack, beats, range of records, billboard shoot, billie eillish, taylor swift. Now we just need a big MV for a bop and the album will outsell and out-stream the last two for sure

  7. Who are these fucking losers posting fake tracks off the record with them singing some random nonsense into the mic?

Like, I get that you want the attention because you're sad and lonely or someshit, but really?

ok girlies im awake, did the album leak? :byeh8rs:

No, but there are songs of some loser sinigng dumbass fake Lana lyrics (like Candy Necklace) in a weird voice.

i prefer no videos at all over monstrosities such as Arcadia, 4 minutes of her in an ugly outfit sitting on a swing and a homemade tractor ad meets foot porn disaster :awkney2:

I second this. Better to have the budget for one great video per album than to do two-three cheap, mediocre ones that no one will watch. It's hard to get people to watch videos nowadays. Even Chemtrails, which was objectively good, only accumulated 30 million views or sth.

Did some of the leaked songs have the same problem arcadia had? Her vocals being annoyingly  loud in (( all roads that lead to you as integral to me )) please tell me no :lange:

Lol. I know. My colleagues used to complain at the office whenever I'd play Arcadia on my headphones. But to answer your questions, no such glitches so far.

TACO TRUCK NEW SUMMER ANTHEM??? :trisha:

    Spoiler

It is INCREDIBLE how Lana keeps finding such strong melodies like Taco Truck's after all these years.

Like, the melody is incredible! An instant Lana classic. Tulsa Jesus Freak had a good melody in a similar vein, but this one is even catchier.

bitch do you have zero functioning brain cells or what. in what world does any of that mean she cares abt streams and especially what the fuck do u mean by the weight commentary. go back to tiktok, stick to twitter or something, each reply i see from u gets worse and worse and worse. you motherfucking piece of crap, all you know to do is to be disrespectful and say dumbshit, is there a way to kick a member out of the site or smth

    mod note: don't be rude

OMG? What are these replies.   Is it allowed to speak like this on this forum? Wasn't the vibe I was getting at all.

did u fucking miss the whole point of this record or what. she literally herself said that she wants to tell a story/give out an impression w each picture. and the songs are literally recorded thru her iphone voice recorder in one take and with automatic singing, only thing they have done is editing the vocals and thats all. she does not give a fuck about charts, she is telling her story. u can fucking hear the static noise of the vocals in fingertips for gods sake. some of yall are trying too hard to look different and edgy w yalls corny ass opinions here, get a life or a job and stay off internet f slur

mod note: stop being rude or you will get another warning point

What you just said is ruder than anything I've said. Will not be going down this path with you.

Wow - this is deeply offensive to see. STREAM CHEMTRAILS!!! :oprah2:

Also, some of y’all need to stop listening to the leaks and withdraw from the new songs for a bit. I don’t want to read stupid shit like “I overplayed The Grants and Sweet and Fingertips :poordat:“ on here when the album comes out. :thumb3:

Yeah, Chemtrails deserves more! But then, it does have only 11 tracks (compared to Blue Banister's length) and a few tracks were fillers. I reckon streaming for Ocean Boulevard will definitely top Blue Banisters, Honeymoon and Chemtrails. Probably the fifth most streamed.

What if we normalize listening to music when and how we want? People still care about charts and streams in 2023 and that's very toxic...

anyway the song did a thousand times better than her last two album's singles. I guess she's fine.

Does anyone have any numbers that prove this? Like a AW vs Arcadia comparison, etc.

now what poster lied to u and told u that this album is her sexy album..

Haha, don't remember. But we kinda agreed that it's more likely to be her personal, diaristic record more so than sexy per se.

    Spoiler

Grandfather, The Grants, Fingertips, Sweet, AW and even Taco Bell ("They call me Lanita") are definitely giving off that vibe.
