  1. ooh w track lengths now, i'm gonna redo mine A&W taco truck x vb paris, texas i have sm faith fishtail kintsugi did you know there's a tunnel under ocean blvd grandfather standing on dad's shoulders causing boat to capsize fingertips peppers let the light in the grants candy necklace margaret sweet judah interlude tho nearly 5 mins of a sermon is truly an unsettling prospect jon interlude
  2. paris, texas is the shortest song on the whole album?? a beautiful fleeting moment then <3 was anything new said abt it tho besides its duration?
  3. yeeaaah stylistically i'm rly not into the whole "x whatever", to me it feels a bit outdated + it makes it seem like the songs are just layered or mashed
  4. love listening to this and pretending im mean child who keeps crying till she gets her way like a true star
  5. i had no idea this song was originally just "cinnamon" but as a 💖neil young stan💖 i think its title is perfect!! the song's about a push and pull dynamic - her high high neglectful lover pushes her away, lana tries to find a way back in. at the same time, lana emotionally distances herself from him in an effort to keep the peace, cuz she just wants to be held without being hurt the lyrics and meaning of neil young's song are rly intentionally vague - u don't even know if the "cinnamon girl" he sings abt is real or... anything abt her at all but at the v least, she's idealised ("i could be happy the rest of my life w a cinnamon girl"). this air of distance and dreaminess and unreality is what lana evokes w her song + by not talking abt the things u wanna talk abt and just letting the guy live, she's being v neil young's cinnamon girl cool girl monologue etc "cinnamon girl" could also be abt an experience during her redhead born to die days lol
  6. the only album which is a bit jarring to me is bb but i still don't actually mind bc i prefer the experimentation and mess lol. i hope this album's diversity is similar to AKA and honeymoon bc tho their sounds/influences range a lot, it's all held together by a v specific feeling <3 (like crazy how honeymoon goes from blues to trap to western etc but it's all tied up in a film noir hazeeee)
  7. i HOPEEEE that movie's relevant! i hope the song's abt identity, echoes queen of the gas station, smoking in neon lights + being seen as a fantasy/being idealised, until the moment u show off a very human part of ur body which somehow is considered a moral failing
  8. my ranking prediciton 1. taco truck x VB 2. paris, texas 3. AW (rip A&W and the complex americana twin peaksy imagery it evoked) 4. fishtail, gonna b my new tulsa jesus freak <3 5. did you know theres a tunnel under ocean blvd 6. the grants 7. grandfather... etc 8. let the light in 9. peppers 10. fingertips 11. kintsugi 12. candy necklace 13. sweet 14. margaret 15. jon batiste interlude 16. judah interlude
  9. HOLY SHIT??? TACO TRUCK X VB?????? rly hope it's the part where she says "me myself i like diamonds, my baby crimson and clover" then into the euphoric beautiful losers section do we know how long the taco truck song is?
  10. paris texas that melancholic syml instrumental already sounded iconic and it was the track i was most curious abt, of course she has the best title
  11. I see something happened give me a sec while I read and like everyone’s posts from 100 pages ago
  12. love song - thinking about its potential if it was something like 'your new car' or 'in the back seat of your new car' (a nod to paul mccartney's song, emphasis on new bc the song is abt a new love) text book - old man river makes sm sense in my feelings - idk it well enough to think up an alt wild at heart ummm not all who wander are lost i don't actually feel that strongly abt her corny/boring titles besides the cocc ones which truly fly in the face of everything i stand for, but some titles u guys mention are actually so good?? like my babies smarty, go go dancer, cinnamon girl, brite lites!!!!, dum dum <3

  15. MANIFESTING THE TRAILER PARK DARLING HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL ESPECIALLY THE VOCAL LAYERS DURING THE OUTRO god this yr i really did become the person thats like i wish lana's early/btd production would come back, like even just a little hint/memory of the drama in an outro who cares if it's been a decade and she's got 2 cats in the yard reality is constructed and time doesn't exist
  16. prob unpopular opinion but ive listened to v1 1000 times more than v2 and this isn't a remark abt what's actually better, but w this song i like it feeling hazy, like ur poolside at night and music is playing nearby. plus it's easier on my nerves lol and lets me listen to it over and over since im v emotionally attached
  17. watched banshees of inisherin at the movies today without any context or prior knowledge walked out of it kinda shaky and drained, dropped my phone on cement, boyfriend and i ate dinner in near silence, etc 10/10!
  18. Crying screaming over dance for money not making leak of the decade
  19. i love nfr but agreed - i think it's too recent, its impact/meaning just wouldn't be the same as what a sample from many yrs ago could have in terms of intensity and sweeping nostalgia!! sampling something from honeymoon seems likely but i seriously hope it's born to die or video games - besides them being the most iconic songs she could possibly sample, they are what started it all and could encompass sm thematically and continuing to dream but imagine ldr9 including a melodramatic btd sample going on to win a grammy
