LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Unidentified Major Tom replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I have always thought it was about him. -
Taste ! I second this. Some jazzy and orchestral songs. I would add some more experimental songs like A&W or VB ant it would be perfect.

You're right. It's that simple. I have always trusted her and I have never been disappointed. Just let her do her magic.

All I need for LDR10 is for Lana to surprise us. Just something new, not necessarily a new sound or a new producer, but maybe new aesthetics, new vibes, a bit of improvisation, whatever. We know she can do it, imo she did it this year with A&W and Fingertips.

Mulholland dr. I guess you've already seen it before, but imo, it looks like it was written directly about her life. The blonde character has a strong Lizzy Grant vibe, whereas the brunette reminds of Lana Del Rey. There is also another blonde singer in an audition, who almost sings like Lizzy. Her poem "L.A. who I am to love you" has the same dark vibe. Both talk about dreams and nightmares. There's even a witch on the corner in the movie.

Now we better understand the lyrics in Text Book : "I never felt jealous before this year but I'm jealous now"
-
You reminded me of the description of this Angel Olsen album, which I love. Something with that vibe "in between" for LDR10 would be a blessing to me.

I think it's very bold of Lana to bring such personal lyrics to a feat for someone else's song. I understand why it's just a bonus track, as it doesn't really match the vibe of the rest of his album. Jon Batiste, king of empathy.

His performance at Outside Lands was partly livestreamed. Glad to see his beard and hair grow back, it goes well with his usual nonchalance.

Realizing there's a thread about him. His new album is out on sept 8. The first 3 singles are amazing. They are all accompanied with weird but stunning AI music videos : I have great hopes for this album. It sounds sick, dreamy, trippy, jazzy with a hint of folk. The production is great, as always.

This was true, and it is beautiful actually. Thank you.
